squidlymellis: yea compelieing does a wonderfull job of going in to multi sys's
mellisDraconx|Laptop, I wonder why that is...
squidlyNabiki: ??
Draconx|Laptopmellis, compressed video data is highly dependent on the output of previous steps
[R]LinuxDolt: its not pulling in gtk1 here
mellisDraconx|Laptop, Oh...
Nabikisquidly: I will check google. ^_^
noddyBztomiccomputers: it's default. tried "Defaults:<user> !env_reset" ?
ztomiccomputersnope
NabikiI am sure I can find all the info I need. Thanks for the input!!!!
squidlyDraconx|Laptop: and not to mention its a pain to try and slip up a video file in to small parts to parallize it
Nabiki: google linux from scrach
ztomiccomputersnoddy: code verbatim please?
squidlyNabiki: they ahve all the documentation on there
Draconx|Laptopmellis, h.264 has a built in trick which splits a stream into sections, and encodes them independently. You can thus encode/decode in parts, but you will have an increase in size.
noddyBztomiccomputers: "Defaults !env_reset"
LinuxDolt[R]: well, i just now synced up my portage tree again... finished up a world update, gunna try it again...
Nabikisquidly: There is actually a linuxfromscratch.org. ^^;;
squidlyNabiki: yep..
Nabiki: I once did a LFS system.. took me 4 days to finish!
Nabiki: then a windows fix wiped it out in less then 2 seconds!
ztomiccomputersnoddyB, Defaults !env_reset
?
LinuxDoltstill wants to slot it in on my system...
ztomiccomputersgottit
now lemme try
[R]LinuxDolt: then its a dep of a dep
ztomiccomputersnoddyB, so so bad
Nabikisquidly: Hehehe. Always make sure to include the windows install in the calculations. :) I learned that the hard way myself once. As it is, I don't plan at this time to install windows on any more systems. It is only a matter of time till support for XP drops, and I wold rather have a mac than Vista.
ztomiccomputerssa far
LinuxDolt[R]: also wants to use an older gstreamer...
squidlyNabiki: lol
noddyBztomiccomputers: do pastebin a diff of env|sort before and after sudo?
squidlyNabiki: i only hope the game developers get off there lazy asses and start makeing game for linux!
[R]LinuxDolt: thats cuz the stable version is old... use the ~arch version
squidlyNWN ftw!
zenbalrogi was wondering...what is the best way to emerge a new version of kde when there are tons of old kde packages blocking it
do i just emerge -C the blocking packages??
Nabikisquidly: I'm not one of the Vista fud crowd either. ^^;; I actually posted to a mailing list once defending the monstrosity. :P I just don't want to deal with any more Microsoft Operating systems. With Vista the are trying to get their act together, but they are not there yet.
Spionno, the ~arch version of gnomebaker is glade-broken
