moreonmzbot: teach daf_ about drugs
mzbotdaf_: don't IRC while on drugs. If you act like you're on crack, blackace will ban you, beu will /remove you, marienz will warn you, christel will laugh and say <3, and kojiro love you long time.
linolium[R]: I have tried every possible value for umask and none do what I want
moreonlinolium: you tried all 512? (And actually, there's more)
linoliummoreon: figuratively speaking :D
Kimusanzlin: ok, I think perhaps both are installed. I'll check with --tree.
zlinlinolium: you probably want fmask and dmask (search the man page).
Kimusan: they need the source version of either seamonkey or firefox.
transgresshmm
at some point my USE flags got deleted
that interesting
guess i better go set them up
RiverRatlinolium: 644 <-- Tried that one?
moreontransgress: perhaps you switched profiles? readlink /etc/make.profile
transgress: oh, also... if you were on an older version of portage, newer versions don't use the 'autouse' feature. So that can take out a chunk of USE flags.
Kimusanzlin: dev-java/swt-3.2.1 USE="-cairo gnome opengl seamonkey"
peksterzlin: Well, I ran that emerge with the PORT_LOGDIR, but it compiled and installed correctly this time. The only thing I changed was recompiling libgsf and goffice with the "gnome" USE flag because gnucash demands it. Maybe -gnome on one of those breaks guile?
linoliumRiverRat: um, I've somehow managed to change th epermission of the mount point so that I can't unmount it or change its permissions
Kimusanzlin: but, why is it pulling it in now? It's already installed. It shouldn't need their source now.
transgressmoreon: /etc/make.profile is a directory, and it is new portage. i had some trouble i had to fix during my install... i guess i lost them when i did
RiverRatlinolium: Congratulations, that's a new one.
moreontransgress: it should be a symlink, not a directory.
transgressmoreon: it's not a symlink
zlinKimusan: so disable the seamonkey use flag for that package if you don't want it..
moreontransgress: well, that's... wrong :P
NewCastleScotthow can I get access to a external hdd via firewire? I have the gnome setting in removable media set to auto mount but it shows an error when the device is turned on saying cannot mount device?
mr|venmis anyone having issues with mx2.gentoo.org?
zlinKimusan: the ebuild says it's a build- and runtime depend. if you think that's an error complain at bugzie (after making sure noone did that before you).
pekster: congrats :p
