reisio'lo ken
kawolski: you use GNOME?
kawolskireisio: xfce
Stonefishk. those are usually pretty foolproof. does it work hardwired into kernel?
dragonheartgouranga: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml
FaeLLein vista its easy...... i can just double click the SSL certificate and install it, then i use TKIP and EAP and connect with username and password, in gentoo im stuck :p
reisiokawolski: ah, pity Anjuta deps on GNOME libs (IIRC), then
Asher|Laptopfor now i'm just going to use vista on the laptop and gentoo on the desktop
reisiokawolski: kdevelop is the other big IDE, but it's decidedly KDEified
dragonheartgouranga: may as well do a kernel update as well.
kawolskireisio: just libgnomecups and a few gaim uses, so I has three deps
reisiokawolski: other than that, you're not really going to find anything better except for Vim or Emacs
kenjiI am tired, I can't install xfce4 :( can some one help me please?
BoNeFaeLLe, do you notice the download speed improvement of vista, or is it somehow just me?
SkapareFaeLLe: gentoo isn't for clickers
dragonheartgouranga: the old problem - could try modprobing a few more sound kernel modules
reisiokenji: having a problem?
FaeLLeSkapare, indeed but i have been unable to locate someone who can guide me towards getting the similar process
kawolskireisio: yes, qt and kdelibs are not on here, they are, well, bloated is a good word, and slow my system, I usually try to stay with gtk/gnome packages is possible
kenjiyes
reisiokawolski: that likely means you already had a lot of GNOME libs installed
dooberok now i can ping the gateway
kawolskireisio: yes, I do
dooberbut nothing else
kenjiI can't install vte
reisio I can't :|
reisiokenji: why not?
FaeLLeBoNe, apparently theres a new winsock mechanism that improves stuff like bit torrent half open ports feature, should be a boost i guess
Fieldygotta give us more details
kenjiI search in google and nothing, ask and nothing :S
ok let me tell you
Fieldyreisio: he posted the error earlier, i think it mentioned he had to set or unset a certain USE flag, seemed very straight forward
iMammalhow does one configure an xorg.conf in gentoo?
reisiomzbot: gentoo iMammal xorg config
mzbotiMammal: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml
BoNeFaeLLe, i have 10mb down cable service. I have noticed d/l threads from www sites of 900kb/s + where I wasnt getting 600+ before. (and this is a wireless labtop off my router).
iMammal:) mzbot
reisioiMammal: which is to say basically the same way you do it anywhere else
kenjibecause of these http://rafb.net/p/T1Poc344.html
