bluerabbitrichiefrich, in what way if I may ask ? works great here
richiefrichnocti_: cdparanoia -B "1-"
NightKhaosRiver_Rat: but does it rip them?
richiefrichimpulze: you cant make in iso of a music CD
nocti_richiefrich: thanks.
River_RatI'm pretty sure it does.
impulzerichiefrich: you know what dd does, right?
richiefrichbluerabbit: just propritery and i loke cli
like
zekewhat about `cat /dev/<device>' >disk.iso ?
richiefrichimpulze: i use it all the time
Crypticfortuneok, still trying to compile 32bit kernel here... when i do make ARCH="i386" i get a bunch of compile errors. i assume this shouldnt be happening, but what's wrong? (output is here: http://rafb.net/p/7jq2UX47.html
richiefrichCrypticfortune: ok i have a cmd for you
bluerabbitrichiefrich, who cares if its proprietry as long as it does what its suppose to do
nocti_bluerabbit: have you tried nero for linux yet?
River_RatCrypticfortune: Make it in a 32bit chroot jail. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=2
zekeI hate non open source software and will not use nero because of this. cdrecord is much better and open source, easy to use
bluerabbitnocti_, I am talking about that one.. nero for linux
richiefrichCrypticfortune: make CC="gcc -m32" HOSTCC="gcc -m32" ARCH=i386 menuconfig
nocti_zeke: me too. console all the way if i can get away with it, mpg321, irssi, wget, etc.
bluerabbitrichiefrich, been using it since it came out for linux
zekenot open source software is dangerous because you never know what it is doing
richiefrichCrypticfortune: bluerabbit and i just dont like it
err
bluerabbit: ^^
Crypticfortune: that will work sir
bluerabbitrichiefrich, well ... I am just saying that it does what its suppose to do..no more no less
zlinCrypticfortune: you may need `make ARCH=... mrproper` too (I think)
Crypticfortunerichiefrich: hmmm ok
Logix101cool i fstabed and mounted my ntfs xp drive - noob victory
someone told me to install 3g or something but the kernel has built in ntfs read and write support
richiefrichbluerabbit: well not really but im not here to debate it.. :)
nocti_bluerabbit: the thing about nero .nrg formats is not alot of software supports it, and it's proprietary, so if my backups are all .isos then it's safer/easier for me in the long run.
River_RatSome killed the interweb
impulzeyou did
:-)
Logix101yea nrg is bad
will my new install after doing emerge system break since I heard about that openssl and wget issue?
nocti_or even if it's not like that, at least i could sleep better knowing that common tools can read/write my isos.
zlinwho said nero can't make iso's ?
