Zaba_well
kojiroAndrei: whoa whoa
Zaba_does X handle .fnt's?
kojiroAndrei: do the second emerge -uDN world before you etc-update
andreikojiro: huh?
kojiroAndrei: that way your useflag changes get taken into effect
andreio ok
and revde-rebuild?
CelticSoulguys, which option should I set in /etc/fstab to be able to let my user mount an xfs partition with rw permission?
andreinow or after the second one?
Zaba_does X handle .fnt's?
kojiroAndrei: after the second one
RobstafarianCelticSoul: the option is "user"
Zaba_or do i need something else?
RobstafarianCelticSoul: next time, 'man mount'
CelticSoulRobstafarian: I did that, even with umask=000, but my user still cannot write to it
JoKoHi... I'm trying to mount an NFS partition and I get the following error: nfs server reported service unavailable: Success. Could anyone help me?
CelticSoul/dev/sda4 /mnt/xfs xfs auto,user,umask=000 0 0
RobstafarianCelticSoul: ah, you made it sound like mounting was the issue
andreikojiro: and how do i enable logging
kojiroAndrei: what kind of logging?
RobstafarianCelticSoul: create a group to own the mount point, set permissions for the group to write, add your user to the group
andreikojiro: in case i want to see all emerge errors like this info file and maybe others
kojiroAndrei: read /etc/make.conf.example about elog
CelticSoulRobstafarian: is there a default group for mount?
RobstafarianCelticSoul: I don't understand your question
CelticSoulRobstafarian: something like audio, game... groups
RobstafarianCelticSoul: mounting isn't your problem, file permissions are your problem
CelticSoul: forget for a moment that you're mounting anything, just work it like you want to write to a folder
eXistenzHow can I unzip files while preserving unicode filenames?
CelticSoulRobstafarian: ok, but umask works for other type of partition, I was hoping something similar with XFS
fietronicIs there an emerge option to not install something if you're using the latest version?
RobstafarianCelticSoul: there have been times when "umask" doesn't work for me, the group method has always worked
CelticSoulRobstafarian: ok, thanks a lot man!
marienzfietronic: -n
RobstafarianCelticSoul: no problem
andreikojiro: does the unhased stuff in make.conf.example has any effect
kojiroAndrei: no, it's just an example
andreikojiro: or does it have to be in the make.conf itself to work?
kojiroAndrei: it needs to be in make.conf to have an effect
