stljimHi.. Is anyone here familiar with creating .deb packages? I'm having trouble getting postinst.debhelper script to work. When I install the new .deb package I need it to run update-rc, I need it to update logrotate.conf and I need it to run ldconfig. I'm sure the script code is good (I tested it) but it's not getting run when i 'dpkg -i' install the package.
aptperson is probably like a bot, but squishier, or a meat popscicle
jelly-homejoaozinho: but it also depends on the graphic card I think
noorul!etch
dpkgEtch is the code name for the current stable Debian release, version 4.0, released on April 8th, 2007. Ask me about <install debian>. Please read the release notes at http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/releasenotes which also contain the upgrade procedure for upgrading from the previous version of debian stable
noorul!install debian
dpkgThere are a myriad different ways to install Debian. See http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/debian-installer for a list of images. Ask me about <install guide> and <d-i> for detailed instructions. (If you've never installed Debian before, you should read the install guide.)
nvzstljim: nope, nobody is familiar with creating deb packages *hides the 20,000+ packages of etch floating around the internet*
sgeigerbotjelly-home: Okay, the page seems to be getting processed with PHP now, but the HTTP header seems to be wrong: www.ncee.net
nvz!dstats etch
jelly-homejoaozinho: eg. my 17" TFT was well detected with a Radeon 9200, but its properties were not detected at all with the newer Radeon xpress 200M
dpkgDebian Distro Stats on etch... 18601 packages, 1728 maintainers, 41697 MB installed size, 13733 MB compressed size.
