Supaplexhow to you choose your default de/wm/etc when multiple are installed?
CutMeOwnThroatdunno... what would it be
I dont really create devices on a daily basis
wintixDawnLight: you need to uninstall the deb manually since apt-get doesn't know about it. something like dpkg -r nvidia-kernel-2.6.something
DawnLight: don't know the exact name right now.
CutMeOwnThroatit should be the 3rd partition on the 1st disk (or the other way around)
DawnLightcan i see the list somehow, wintix?
CutMeOwnThroatbut if there is none, the device would kind of point into nowhere
JohnGHCMOT: that's the same as /dev/null - read about major and minor numbers... it doesn't matter that it's not called /dev/null - it would still work exactly the same.
xozif i have a cd iso image of etch and burn it to dvd, will it work?
abrotmantry it and see!~
actionabrotman kicks dpkg
abrotmankicks dpkg
DavidProck1981does any one have a problem after installing beryl, When they go to resize a window it being supper laggy
xozabrotman: what's your guess?
abrotmanyes? :)
DavidProck1981: beryl is NOT in debia
debian
JohnGHxoz: do you know about burning raw iso images rather than putting in filesystems? (otherwise it DEFINITELY wouldn't work!)
stewand it looks like beryl never will be in debian
DavidProck1981stew, why?
gravityYeah, we need to fix that
Or something
lfsI ran my install and it said that there were no kernel modules
Supaplexdpkg: test
lfsWhat the hell is that about?
Supaplexapt: test
xozabrotman: if it will not work, you gonna pay me back a blank dvd :)
gravityIdeally, beryl and compiz will merge, and it won't be an issue any more
abrotmangravity: why? slacker is the packager ?
aptTest Failed!
gravityabrotman: Yeah. We need a new one.
abrotmanoh yeah .. that'd be better
stewgravity: shawn said he's not going to bother since its dead upstream and getting merged with compiz
amphiDavidProck1981: set the resize type to something other than normal, like 'filled outline' or 'stretch'
gravitystew: I know what shawn said. I'd like someone else to work on it though.
No one has stepped up.
I don't have time to do it myself unfortunately
scarfacecan anyone of you do a host -l yourfavoritedomain.any and see if you get an error message saying connection refused?
stewabrotman: he's not a slacker, he has had it in NEW for months, he just missed some non-free icons
JohnGHlfs: are there any files in /lib/modules/(VERSION)/kernel/ ?
