DavidProck1981was easy to do
stewfarseer_: yes
nn-mainhow do a add and option to a mounted mount
stewDawnLight: becuase the module name is probably 'nvidia.ko' not 'vidia'
farseer_stew, then u got just about the same setup as me. i got confused then "top" said i only hade 25MB of ram free, and 1,2GB used
stewDawnLight: '/sbin/modinfo nvidia' would tell you where exactly it is located
yeonhoohow to mount primary hd ?
nono
stewfarseer_: its normal to not have free memory, /msg dpkg free memory
yeonhoohow to unmount primary HD ?? because i already tried umount /dev/hdb1
farseer_stew, ok :) thanks
yeonhoobut doesnt umont
umount
DawnLight/lib/modules/2.6.18-4-686/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko can i just delete it?
stewfarseer_: err, dpkg is sleeping: /msg aptitude free memory
KomsipDawnLight: why would you want to delete it?
stewyeonhoo: does it give you an error? what do you mean by "primary hd"?
DawnLightKomsip: because i want to build it again
farseer_stew, both are
Komsipit'll be overwritten
but sure...delete it
DawnLightmagnificant
jairDavidProck1981: may I know how you did it?
hermogenesjair: just add the non-free repositories to your sources.list and do aptitude install sun-java5-plugin sun-java5-jdk
Komsipbut you won
yeonhoostew, i have two partitions one hdb1 and other
jairhermogenes: hmmm
DavidProck1981i just installed it, and tell it to load the plug in
farseer_yeonhoo, boot from a live cd then
yeonhoosteve, i used badblocks command to fix
Komsipt be able to run x when it's gone of course
jairDavidProck1981: you did it the way hermogenes is telling me to do it?
psykidellichi, is there any shorter way to do this: head -n file1 | tail -1 >> file2 : i am trying to append the nth line of file1 to file2
DavidProck1981i did not read what he say
yeonhoofarseer_, im trying to fix my hd
Komsipwell unless you use nv in hte mean time
DavidProck1981./jre-6-linux-i586.bin and set it up
nn-mainhow do a add and option to a mounted mount with out umounting it the drive is bisy and i need to add user to the opitions
stewfarseer_: linux uses any free memory as disk cache in order to speed things up. it will release this memory immediately if it is needed. look at the "+/- buffers/cace" line in output of "free"
yeonhoofarseer_, my hd has alot of problem i used badblocks command to fix
