GneaDave_is_sexy: the fact is is that if a customer is unwilling to go through troubleshooting steps over the phone, then the problem isn't going to be solved, plain and simple. it's in the small print, i suggest you and your friend go and read it.

maattttTheir corporate hardware is very good. very very reliable.
Dave_is_sexyGnea: no, this is a debian channel. You want #dell. and I have been smart enough to avoid dell and maxtor. but I repair pcs and those 2 brands pop up time after time
stewJordiGH: man aptitude ; look at 'unmark'
streunervyrus001: why not just using an official kernel (less headaches)
GneaDave_is_sexy: that's fine, perhaps you should call dell's tech support next time you try to help repair a dell system that's under warranty and be a better judge for yourself instead of relying on the word of someone else.
maattttand are they more common brands ? yes.

N1ckRIMHO all "high street" brand pcs are as good/bad as one another
Dave_is_sexygnea: you are obviously too small minded to bother talking to, since the number of assumptions you just made, to be convenient to you, is unbelievable. now: OFF TOPIC!
JordiGHstew: Do I really need to give unmark the list of 400+ packages it wants to delete?
stewDave_is_sexy: Gnea: please take this elsewhere
Dave_is_sexygnea: FFS. I didn't repair that one, it was under warantee!!
GneaDave_is_sexy: and now you're being abusive and calling me names. i'm done, now stop yourself.

streunerthat's bad :-)
shogunxno. windows comes pre-ruined for your convenience.
madrisslol ;)
JordiGHlargest continous free space shouldn't trash Windows, since contrary to my personal belief, a Windows partition doesn't count as free space.
