enoufconcept10: but a ls -al /etc/rc?.d/ | grep S should show you the startup script symlinks . but not sure if it's to be trusted, since some act/run in shutdown runlevels (0,6) .. check hte files manually .. all symlinks point to /etc/init.d/ , and there's also the /etc/rcS.d file as well
