Internathow woudl i check which one is doing it
unlinkhow do i set the quota for all users with edquota?
the default quota
uyohmHi all !
damogunlink: What problem are you facing about it?
unlinkdamog: i don't know how to set it for users in general as opposed to for a specific user
scxmsg dpkg
oops
|broken|Hello, is anyone here? I have a simple question..
SebbohWhat package contains the DNS tool called dig?
damogunlink: You can do it by making quotas per group.
|broken|Alright, i guess there is some life here. Ha, so I have gentoo right now and want to go for Debian.... i went to download it for amd64 but i noticied there wa slike 21 cd's.. which one do i pick? or do i hae to get them all..
nakeeSebboh, dnsutils
damog|broken|: http://www.us.debian.org/CD/faq/#which-cd
pwnedhi, are there debian tools to ease building debuggable development libraries instead of whatever comes precompiled and have both installed on the same system without interfering with eachother ? like you -llibrary or -llibrary-dbg to choose
Sebbohthanks nakee
|broken|thanks. I was wondering is a big shift from gentoo to debian? If anyone.. has had to do it.. cause Gentoo is all i've ever used.
nakee|broken|, pretty much yea
|broken|damn.
damog|broken|: Read the doc and you'll be safe.
Sebboh|broken|: Any answers that you get to that question are going to be really subjective, of course. It wasn't hard for me to use Solaris, because I've used Debian. ...Your milage may vary. ;)
|broken|Lets just put it this way: I've used linux for ~3 weeks. lol
SebbohYes, big learning curve!
;)
xingu"is there a big shift to philips' screwdrivers? because flat blades are all I've ever used"
|broken|I mean my gentoo works great.. but too me it doesn't appear to be "finished" so to speak.
Plus the people on the #e channel flamed me for using a "broken" distro.
Guerinxingu: wtf
damogWhat's on #e?
|broken|Enlightenment?
damogEnlightenment?
Guerinenlightenment
|broken|ha.
damogmeh
|broken|Well maybe i'll keep gentoo, wipe out the windows xp hd, and install debian there. To be safe.
nakee|broken|, each distribution has it's pro and cons
damogcorrect, and some of them have more cons than pros :)
xinguGuerin: the point is that unless the application specifies the tool, choice is entirely subject to personal preference
nakee|broken|, gentoo and debian has different package manager, and a different way of thinking
|broken|Yea i'm aware of some of the diffrences, apt-get while i use emerge from the portage tree..
