gordboyre my question earlier about changing the logical name of a converted (with alien) rpm package. i did the convert with alien. then i made an install dir, dpkg-deb -e to extract the DEBIAN control stuff into it, edited that. then i made/copied the full install tree in there. then i did dpkg -b to rebuild the package. voila !

Artemis3ok i need help with wifi (intel 3945abg) on a dell laptop, the package is installed and dmesg shows the module seems to load, but it fails to register an eth slot, iwconfig and ipconfig won't show it. Used to work :S

Kronuzhey... using sed.... it receives the filename to be sed as a parameter, but is there a way instead of receiving the filename it would receive the actual string to be processed instead?
