abrotmanisn't that a terminal thing?
liableis it?
cydorkpiti: and where did you libgtk2.0 from sid?
aixingI have really weird issue (at least to me anyway) when I do "df -h" the only filesystem I see is "tempfs". could someone help me understand this pls.
abrotmanliable: ask #irssi? :)
liableabrotman: dont you understand? i want a one stop shop of knowledge. I thought #debian supplied this, guess I am going have to install ubuntu..
bytekodeliable: use a terminal that supports url highlighting, like gnome-terminal (assuming you use gnome)
pitiCydork: I had done a big error two weeks ago, I totally upgraded to sid! but I don't know how to know if a package comes from sid, or unstable or stable...
atealthaliable: so do you think #ubuntu will answer that question?
liableof cousre
jetscreamerif you totally upgraded to sid, then probably most of them are from sid...
of course a lot of them could be from unstable...
atealthagood luck with ubuntu then
possiehi
pitiI have modified my /etc/apt/sources.list, and someone here told me that in some weeks, most of packages will "come back to normality"
itchiliable: It is a terminal feature, try a bloated one and you get clickable links. Otherwise double click on it and drag
cydorkpiti: you did a dist-upgrade? no mention of stable/etch in sources.list? check policy for libgtk2.0
piti: who ever said that is a moron. :)
liableitchi: i have the mostest bloatest term thats available! konsole! but the fucker doesnt do it. it sucks that i really like it.
pitiCydork: how can I check policy for libgtk2.0 ? (I'm a newbie with debian...)
py_what options should I pass to ./configure if I want to compile stuff with debugging symbols and so on (for use in gdb) ?
cydorkpiti: apt-cache policy libgtk2.0
piti: and when you use sid you are on your own, :) check /msg dpkg sid faq
abrotmanliable: i'd imagine it should .. maybe it's a konsole setting ?
itchiliable: Is that gnome-terminal ?
liableabrotman: dont believe its implemented yet
itchiliable: These bloated does it, yeah, maybe a setting then
liableitchi: konsole is the default term with kde (i dont use kde, but i always install konsole. i like it)
itchiliable: Yeah, konsole have not that feature it looks :-s gnome-terminal does
liableholy shit, theres mail for this going back to 2003
massakihello, i just reinstall my debian stable, ( on my dell c400 notebook) but my terminal (f1, f2, etc) are crashing .. i cant press f1, i remember i fix it once , but i forgot, was something about changing the terminal modes to 777 or 000 cant remember .. any guess??
itchimassaki: vga=791 ??
massakiitchi, ya , maybe , but what file is it ? xorg ?
itchimassaki: In /boot/grub/menu.lst but i'm not sure if it's that heh
kairu0poll: what type of server is my sparc 500mhz blade server with not much space good for?
py_I'm trying to create a.deb for a library. After I set up debian/control, I run dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot. It produces a .deb, but it does not contain the library itself (which is properly created in the tree, I can find it afterwards). What am I doing wrong?
itchikairu0: Everythings appart a file server??
kairu0itchi, good idea. i forgot to say that it has only IDE though
itchipy_: You missed somethings, the rules files or somethings like that i guess. Take a look in the maint-guide
