helohmm... the instructions given by '/m dpkg aptitude clone' didn't work... it ended up installing a bunch of crap i didn't have on the first system
pipelinetarzeau, lontra, karsten : I believe being "deprecated" just means that it could disappear in a future release. *shrug*
tarzeaupipeline: i doubt it can disappear anytime in the future
pipelineyigal: fortunately for you, then, bash has been ported to an obscene number of platforms.
lontra!tell helo about aptitude clone
pipelinetarzeau: seeing as dselect is still in etch, my guess would be that it will not :)
tarzeaupipeline: it's actively developped on... and aptitude is far from replacing it
pipeline: you can safely remove dselect and aptitude...
h3sp4wndos000: simply you just need to look at the last 3 lines of /etc/skel/.bashrc (and add to yours or roots .bashrc)
dos000h3sp4wn, nice to know .. wonder which package installs this ?
helolontra: umm... i just said that didn't work....
all it did was reinstall the kernel package
dos000h3sp4wn, btw .. the feature i was talking about is package completion no command lines
h3sp4wndos000: Did you read /etc/bash_completion ?
dos000: It does what you want
dos000: (still not as well as zsh does though) by a long shot
dos000h3sp4wn, it looks like i should get package completion based on /etc/bash_completion .. but i am not getting it

h3sp4wn, i cant tell if its already sourced
Alarmhello i am reading a guide of how to configure Lirc . there is a line written. "After this configuration is finished, you will see a message in your terminal about which LIRC module will be used" . as i installed it from the repo. i didnt see any name of module. how can i find which module is used so i can load it ?
rahulhe probably won't be able to figure out how to get the message
