dembugahhh
Salahanybody know how to access root as a sission not only terminal root access
dembugwouldn't be the first time i've been slandered by redhat "based" users
:))
it's way easier than the sophisitication of a pxe
Soul_MxSee you... Tks.
Szeraaxi have actually and that works, but really. I'm trying to get (gasp) windows on it too. my windows is dead.
that is on it.
VanpriestSomeone could heelp mee on tat, when i try to upgrade kernel, it said: http://pastebin.ca/465307 ... someone could help me out at please
dembugohh
Szeraaxso i want to just boot to a windows envirnment and once there, i will have no problem
dembugwell Szeraax
you could repartition the hd in debian and install windows if your super leet
Szeraaxi have a win live cd using bartPE but, as i have no cd-rom in that comp. that doesnt work
GhostlyDeathWyzard: There a way to kill everything that tries to access /dev/dsp?
dembugtheres such thing as windows live cd's? thats shocking :D
I didn't actually know that
learn something new 'eh'
Szeraaxyou use a install cd and with some tweaking it becomes a live cd
WyzardGhostlyDeath: apt-get install lsof; lsof /dev/dsp
Szeraaxgo look up bart pe for more info if you really care
GhostlyDeathWyzard: returns nothing
dembugwill do ;)
WyzardGhostlyDeath: /dev/dsp is the OSS sound device, though, so it'd only be used by OSS clients going through ALSA's legacy OSS emulation
GhostlyDeath: ALSA clients use stuff in /dev/snd
Szeraaxdembug: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/#intro
enjoy :)
dembugheh Szeraax your probably a lot better off trying to get the windows CD to boot via PXE
than trying to run a "thin client" windows
