itchiraf256: Sorry, was away, i scroll up
curelessraf256: btw, did you get a crash? or do you just not see anything?
m4lu6grr. would somene have apt, or dpkg, or whatever the helpful bot's name is tell me about the nvidia one-liner, or whatever it is called? thanks.
raf256cureless: the X session is frozen. doesnt react to anything, although mouse pointer correctly changes shape over the aterm window.
arencinosadelire: I ment what do you use for packet capturing?
curelessraf256: by the x session frozen what do you mean, you can't type?
raf256[23:39] <_markt> you can fix it by running `touch ~/.fluxbox/apps'
cureless: yes, all keyboard or mouse things have no effect, in example I cant select aterm text nor ctrl-C it
m4lu6nm. it's 'nvidia one-liner'. got it for myself.
raf256I cant kill xinit
delirearencinosa: i use python-pcap i packaged it for Debian actually.
raf256I had to alt-ctrl-backspace to reset it...
curelessraf256: I assume you cant control-alt-backspace?
delirearencinosa: anyway, i can certainly reccommend: http://www.secdev.org/projects/scapy/
arencinosa: incredible project.
curelessraf256: do the same thing again, but this time run "strace fluxbox"
Alarmcan debian change the values of the bios ? i checked for the time in the bios it was wrong, fixed it , rebooted and checked if the settings where saved and were ok
delirearencinosa: many options for you as far as graphing are concerned.
arencinosadelire: did you see ntop?
xandAlarm: it can change the time, yes
Alarmlog into kde, and the time is again as also the date, i change it , and suddenly it changes the values from the bios as well
delirearencinosa: yep. it's ok. only so much you can do before you start capturing packets though.
curelessraf256: (you might need to aptitude install strace)
delirearencinosa: iftop is pretty cool too.
Alarmxand, i cant set the time correctly . i put the right time date and timezone
xandAlarm: install ntpdate
and use that
Alarmand everytime i get or 21:37 30-april , or 03:37 1st may but not 00:37
xand!ntpdate
dpkgwell, ntpdate is a program that sets a system's clock using one of more NTP-servers. It's useful for setting the time occasionally (like on boot or connecting to internet). ask me about ntp. Instead of using this obsolete and unmaintained program, just run ntp-server, and add the 'iburst' option to the 'server' lines in ntp.conf.
pengwynANYONE got a stock .bashrc that they can send me? One that is UTF-8 friendly
itchiraf256: Well, it's looks like i have missed many stuff ^
Dave_is_sexyer, ok. if xfce crashes, how do i start it again. i did "startx" "xfce" "xfce4" "gdm" "thunar" and lots of other stuff
Alarmok installed
chop1pengwyn: Look in /etc/skel/.bashrc
