adalgiso_libhal-storage.c 1401 : info: called libhal_free_dbus_error but dbuserror was not set.
process 31212: applications must not close shared connections - see dbus_connection_close() docs. this is a bug in the application.

jetscreamer!lart abrotman
actiondpkg cuts off abrotman's head with a halberd that could have been a little bit sharper

alexhu89Another question: Will this help me in Kernel Compile because I get VFS: Unable to mount root... I think I forgot to compile it to my kernel. Am I right?
jetscreamer!tell alexhu89 -about initrd
stewalexhu89: /msg dpkg can't mount root
jetscreamerabrotman: better my eyes than my brain eh
adalgiso_ugh
stupid autokick
#flood
themilladalgiso_: we'd get entire xorg.conf files and kernel configs being pasted in without it, though!
adalgiso_yeah i know
themill:)
adalgiso_i didnt read the motd, my fault
sparrwrahul: setleds doesnt seem to support a different terminal. xset might have worked but i couldnt figure it out before i got my roommate on the phone and did it the manual way :)
rahulheh
setleds doesn't support that even for root?
!penixstrike setleds
dpkgA towering Penix descends from the heavens, knocking setleds to the ground and leaving a large wet spot.
jetscreamerah is that what that's for
sparrw"can you go upstairs and hit my capslock key?" "why?"
rahulsparrw: TTY=/dev/tty1 setleds ... might work
setleds < /dev/tty1
alexhu89hmm. A new one question: Will this OK if I try to compile the latest kernel (2.6.20.7) ?
rahul!kernel of instability
dpkgLinux 2.6. "Andrew's vision, as expressed at the summit, is that the mainline kernel will be the fastest and most feature-rich kernel around, but not, necessarily, the most stable. Final stabilization is to be done by distributors (as happens now, really)..." <http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/3513>, or http://kerneltrap.org/node/4793 (new 2.6 numbering scheme - proposal)
rahul(and arseability)
jetscreamerif you don't frak menuconfig up
and have every package you need installed
stewalexhu89: the can't mount root problem you have is a misconfiguration, not a kernel bug, so using a newer kenrel will not fix the problem you are currently having
jetscreamerinitrd
dclarkeis PeterS around ?
alexhu89Ok, understood
abrotmandclarke: lots of people are .. can't you ask us ?
ebbshi Can I make sed to replace the first hit in the file only?
