jelly-homeHarzilein: xfce 4.4.0 from experimental works a-ok on etch
merlincoreybut I am glad to hear that if I have to mix and match like I'm some debian based distro then I might be alright for a minute

Harzileinany answers on my defoma question? (if i can use it for per-user installs as well, got a nice ttf font and want to have it available in my apps)
Kronuzhey, I compiled the kernel with bootsplash support (I did that the other day too)
but after this last compilation it no longer shows the bootsplash
and I don't know why or how to check why
supposedly the support is there in the kernel... how can I verify this?
Harzileini think the default kernel should get bootsplash as well, as i think it can be disabled (or is disabled even the default?)
actionabrotman takes the beer from jelly-home
abrotmantakes the beer from jelly-home
HarzileinKronuz: uhm, maybe strings vmlinuz? ;)
Kronuzbut how?
bootsplash is not a module, is it?
jelly-homeKronuz: is it a config option?
Kronuzit's a config option in the .config of the kernel, yes
but it's on
(or it should be)
jelly-homeKronuz: look at your config to confirm, then
