lilbluemarblme thinks my problem is with ATI driver an the kernel ..
since the same xorg worked fine with an older kernel an driver..
The_Plumberhmmmm
lilbluemarblprolly just ahve to wait till more of us face this..
an some one does something :D
The_Plumberyou could try to use the framebuffer for you card
then you wouldn't need all the driver voodo
lilbluemarblah.. thats possible eh?
will look it up
does that mean you can play 3D games?
The_Plumberi have been wanting to try out the FB version of X
lilbluemarbljust for kicks? :)
well.. will hack something ..
will update that thread if i find anything useful
me off to bed now.. enough time wasted on this.
The_Plumber3d games? yes. I believe you will need also need opengl etc but fb support is nice, I go from 1024x768 to 320x240 automagically for lsdoom
good night!
lilbluemarbl'nite!
aldinanyone knows how to have 24bit colors in vncviewr?
eitanmarkybob: I installed mplayer and the mplayer plugin. It still doesn't work. Should I uninstall the totem plugin?
Kevin`_grsecurity is cool
scruffyaldin: vncviewer -depth 24
markybobeitan: yes and restart the browser after you do that
janttsuwhy is cat /etc/debian_version giving me "lenny/sid"?
eitanmarkybob: great. It works. It's slow to download the music, but it works. Thank you very much!
markybobjanttsu: because you have testing and/or sid entries in /etc/apt/sources.list
eitan: np
eitanmarkybob: btw... if totem works so poorly, why doesn't the default debian install use mplayer?
janttsumarkybob: i have only lenny entries there.. just wondering why lenny looks like unstable there
markybobeitan: because they like to stick with gnome defaults...which is totem
eitanmarkybob: ok.. thanks.
bye all!
markybobjanttsu: lenny is testing. that's exactly why
marmosetanyone decent with vpn/ipsec that can answer a couple basic theory questions?
janttsumarkybob: but it's not unstable like sid. shouldn't there read "lenny/testing"?
Kevin`_when will lenny be released? debian is so slow! ;p
markybobjanttsu: no. that's how it's done
Kevin`_: at the very least a year
stargatehi i have a very basic question, I have a debian package of a video server for ARM platform how would i install it?
