| kalila | the Knames madness is way beyong any G madness, some gnome applications use the full name, not all |
| sprink_ | thank you |
| kingsley | stew: Do you use X? |
| lunitik | kalila: that is being addressed for KDE4 ... personally I think it's a shame |
| kalila | evolution is the onyl one that has somewhat *medium* length menus, but boy I wish KDE's menus were a lot lower. HIG research suggests no more than 7, 9 max |
| lunitik | kalila: you haven't looked around KDE recently... cool |
| Regner | So, i need a bit of help, I can not seem to get ftp working again on my server. I had it working, not sure when it stopped working wich is making this very difficult for me. I am using proftpd, and when i try and connect to the ftp server it says "421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection" thats what i get from a console, if i try and connect from my windows machine it just sort of dies saying connection refused, but hmmm that was alot longer then i thought |
| stew | kingsley: yes |
| kalila | lunitik: since the BANG? not really, but I'm firing an xnest now :) |
| kingsley | stew: Thanks. |

| lunitik | kalila: No one really likes KDE until they start to realize the small things that make life so much easier... now I can't use other desktops without getting pissed off because of lack of certain things |
| Azar | hello honorables |

| lunitik | kalila: If you don't try to find those features, you won't like KDE ... |
| netman | I forgot what to type to upgrade from sarge to etch, could someone send me that info again. |

| mfrisch | stew: I've been pissed at my landlords lately...do you think they will let me get one! |
| lunitik | kalila: like what? I'm talking about window management things (middle click and right click maximizing horizonal and vertical) ... middle clicking desktop for a menu... I could go on forever... |
| stew | mfrisch: you can get a guidehorse, they wouldn't be allowed to prevent you from having a service animal if you need one |
| lunitik | kalila: even the fact that you can't detach menu's from the application is annoying to me.... |
| Azar | Call for testing of the sarge to etch upgrade path http://debian-news.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2337 |
| netman | abrotman can you send me that upgrade command again. I didn't write it down and forgot the second half. :\ |
