rahulewanm89: as a simple example, yes
pickcodertarzeau: have you tried just using a static pointer?
ewanm89rahul: So use KVirc or are you a gnome fan
rahul...
does kvirc let me inspect the details behind a message on the screen?
haha, the wikipedia screenshot for kvirc has it running under gnome
jellygraytron: hush, making packages that set up reasonable defaults in Debian is my secondary resource of income ;-)
ewanm89rahul: It also allows konsole in a little tab, Not quite in a small window h
GeorgeS069I did use webmin for about 2 years until I started comming in here and found out how everyone felt about it and why(and learned that dondelelcaro has some wierd electrical fetish involving knives:/ )
rahulewanm89: konsole is a pitiful GUI for a command line
ewanm89: then again, anything that uses a unix shell would have a pitiful gui
graytronjelly: sorry ;D
ewanm89rahul: Of course it will run in gnome, and you just said the second bit yourself
rahulit can't communicate with the shell well enough to actually figure out the object related to whatever output
jellygraytron: but it's a hard task to do, the admin can do unimaginable horrors to config files that, while legal, can make the config unparsable to my scripts ;-)
creatureOK, my wireless card has stopped working, and I'll bet it's because I've started to get an error at boot that says "irq 11: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)" followed by a stacktrace. I would appreciate some help troubleshooting this.
rahulit's funny that people use web apps and they don't realize that they're using a graphical command-line.
justincreature: did you do what it said?
ewanm89rahul: Your idle time is 10 s
graytronjelly: those b*star*s
rahultoo bad they're using a ridiculously primitive one
ewanm89: is that a good thing or a bad thing?
creaturejustin: I did not, because I didn't understand what it would do. And what I googled up said that it didn't help.
ewanm89rahul: is rahul!n=rjain@66-234-32-149.nyc.cable.nyct.net
rahulshocking.
jellygraytron: that's good, because then we have to update the scripts, release newer versions of our config-munging packages and get paid for them ;-)
ewanm89creature: Just time since last post when I grabbed it
sussudio%rahulstrike ewanm89
graytronjelly: good for you :-) not so good for someone else :)
rahul!penixstrike ewanm89
dpkgA towering Penix descends from the heavens, knocking ewanm89 to the ground and leaving a large wet spot.
ewanm89rahul: That's your reverse DNS
creatureewanm89: I beg your pardon?
rahul"my reverse dns"?
badgersOkay, I'm here. (courtesy of sussudio)
sussudio:-|
rahulheh
sussudio%rahulstrike ewanm89
badgersA huge rahul decends from the sky, attempting to hit ewanm89 but misses, leaving a trail of rahul mush behind.
ewanm89rahul: Yes who is query
