fireba11antum: now check of you don't have an open relay working :-)
znhHello,
sepantum, http://spamlinks.net/prevent-secure-relay-test.htm
znhI'm trying to install VMware Workstation at Debian Testing. I have linux-kernel-headers installed which its files are located in /usr/include, but VMware thinks it's not suiteable for my running kernel.. Help would be very appreciated
Guerinznh:you may need to install a new kernel, a new set of headers, or both. And boot into it.
sepznh, i use the etch kernel images. and this is a known problem you need to patch the vmware, using a vmware_any_any patch it's on the vmware knowledgebase
znhGuerin, but only linux-kernel-headers is available
sep, aha!
antumfireball thanks, I've checked with pingability.com and it seems to think I'm ok
sep thanks for the link I'll go check it out now
blackba55how do i install kde 3.5 on sarge ?
petfrogghello!
sepblackba55, you can use backports, or just awit til etch releases, or upgrade to etch
blackba55, backports.org that is
znhsep, I applied that patch, but it gives an error about the kernel headers again
sep, The directory of kernel headers (version 2.6.18) does not match your running
kernel (version 2.6.18-3-686). Even if the module were to compile successfully,it would not load into the running kernel.
creatureOk, so, I want to build myself a kernel with the bootsplash kernel packages applied. If I want to do this using initrd, is it OK to just append --initrd to the options indicated at http://newbiedoc.sourceforge.net/system/kernel-pkg.html#PATCHES-KERNEL-PKG ?
sepis there a way to avoid the mdns/avachi breaks all dns in a .local AD domain ?
znhHow do I install debian's kernel headers? linux-kernel-headers is not suiteable for building modules, which is what I want to do
petfroggis there a way to dynamicly allocate memory in php?
Guerin...
petfrogg: ask #php
znhpetfrogg, this is #debian ;)
petfroggsomehow it seems like my devserver although it is set to use 8 MB of allocate memory in debian stable does things another cant on 32 MB
znhnobody knows how to install debian kernel headers?
petfroggi thought this might me a debian related config
