Knight_Lordxfs_force_shutdown(md0,0x8) called from line 1031 of file fs/xfs/xfs_trans.c. Return address = 0xf8b1c82
Filesystem "md0": Corruption of in-memory data detected. Shutting down filesystem: md0
actionGuerin puts a fiver on one
Guerinputs a fiver on one
Knight_LordCan anyone give me a clue at what the problem could be?
vltHow to leave "input mode" before entering ":wq" in vi?
Knight_Lordvlt esc
harkvlt: ESC
Knight_Lord: xfs?
creatureI want to do a packet capture of the authentication process between my wifi card and my AP. What tool do I need to do this?
GuerinKnight_Lord: xfs doesn't like powerloss
Knight_Lordhark yes
harkno, that's the clue
vltAaah, that easy ... ;-)
Knight_LordGuerin the machine is on UPS and there was no powerloss
Guerinmm
Knight_LordGuerin the drives are on a 3ware controller with cache disabled
Guerin the software raid array is new and I was just copying back the data from the backup when this happened
Guerin it alraedy happened twice, the first time i just umounted it and mounted it again
GuerinKnight_Lord: i know nothing about raid, you're better asking someone else
Knight_LordI think the problem is unrelated to RAID
it's purely XFS
My first guess is bad memory
I'm gonna give a try to check that
sepKnight_Lord, why are you using software raid on a 3ware controller. the 3ware controllers are quiet capable raid devices
enoufGuerin: be carefuyl .. my circa 1999 mobo with a pII 350 says PCI 2.1
Knight_Lordsep I know they are but it's just that software raid is more flexible
enoufGuerin: dmeg | grep -i "PCI BIOS revision" .. mine says PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at 0xfd983, last bus=1
sepKnight_Lord, yeah, i usualy do raid in the 3ware and lvm on that for flexibility
Knight_Lordsep also I'm a cheap bastard and have 8 port controllers but 15 way arrays, so by software i gain 1 extra disk
Guerinenouf: that box has obsd on it
Knight_Lordsep i was a bit afraid of lvm some years ago
SlayerXPgood morning, hash dweebians
enoufGuerin: but OS has nothing to do with PCI Bus revision
fridimmh, kernel panic : no syncing : vfs : unable to mount root fs on unknown block : please append a correct "root=" boot option
enoufUnless someone's using a screwy kernel :-P
Guerinenouf: i know, but different OSen display different dmesg info
enouf: that said, obsd also tells me - this is 2.1
enoufGuerin: ah .. well I couldn't seem to grep the info out of hwinfo, lshw, nor dmidecode, nor biosdecode /dev/mem
Guerinno, none of those things
sepwhere do one disable the anoying ballon popups in kde, when you move the mouse over the panel elements. tried disable tooltip in control seter style, but it seams not to be the same
