pickcoderso you can store files in your IMAP share
antumthats pretty cool,
is the default imap port 143?
pickcoderhrm.. it's GPL
antum: yes
antumWhen I telnet to it it tells me: * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS AUTH=LOGIN] h964708.serverkompetenz.net IMAP4rev1
so it looks like its running fine doesn't it?
pickcoderyup
auth=login should work from squirrelmail
antumhow do you manually login via telnet? I can do it with pop3 but it looks like the commands are different
pickcoderI never learned the IMAP protocol. There are lots of RFC pages.
antumwell I just learnt how to login but it doesn't let me in with my username and password... so it musn't be interfacing with the database... sooo does pop3 and imap use the same db configurations?
pickcoderantum: #courier may know
antumguess i better give them a go, thanks pickcoder

wonder why openssh-server seems to depend on openssh-client
dondelelcaroHarzilein: because the client package has some things like ssh-keygen that the server package needs.
Harzileindondelelcaro: hm, k, sounds reasonable...
peterSyeah, and /etc/ssh/moduli
dondelelcaro(and really, there's no reason to have the server and not have the client)
Harzileindondelelcaro: why? i think it is perfectly reasonable...
dondelelcaroHarzilein: on what system?
Harzileindondelelcaro: there are other ssh-clients in debian
dondelelcaroonly a few, and they're relatively specialized
Harzileinplink (from putty-utils) and lsh-client don't look too specialized
pickcoderHarzilein: so ask the maintainer to split them
dondelelcaropickcoder: they're already split
Harzileinit's just that the server depends on the client to be installed anyway
pickcoderit doesn't have to
dondelelcaroin general, if you're going to use lsh-client, you're going to use lsh-server too
GuerinHarzilein: no, the metapackage `ssh' does
Harzileinmaybe splitting the client in -client and -utils might be the right way
dondelelcaro!depends openssh-server
dpkgopenssh-server: depends on libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6), libcomerr2 (>= 1.33-3), libkrb53 (>= 1.4.2), libpam0g (>= 0.76), libselinux1 (>= 1.32), libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8c-1), libwrap0, zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1), debconf (>= 1.2.0) | debconf-2.0, libpam-runtime (>= 0.76-14), libpam-modules (>= 0.72-9), adduser (>= 3.9), dpkg (>= 1.9.0), openssh-client (= 1:4.3p2-8)
dondelelcaroGuerin: ^^^.
HarzileinGuerin: openssh-server _does_ depend on openssh-client
antumHi, no one on #courier is talking, I keep getting IMAP mail server rejected password, where the POP3 service accepts it... what can I do?
Guerinmm, that's new
i mean
dondelelcaroGuerin: no, not really. It's required because there's no other way to generate the keys
