karstenGuerin: Um. What do I tell my local CUPs config WRT remote server?
jetscreamerHarzilein: i've seen many ppl go through hell with the debian nvidia stuff
been a while though
Guerinkarsten: you shouldn't need to do anything
jetscreamerHarzilein: if you paste what i typed it will 'just work' (assuming etch or >)
Guerinkarsten: as long at the server has the printer published, it advertises it on the network, which cups automatically checks
karstenGuerin: Then HTF do I "see" the remote printers?
Guerin: Hrm...
Guerin: That doesn't appear to be working.
claudio`sorry
ooXoohow to disable log file?
Guerinkarsten: they Just Show Up. If they don't, then it's likely the printer isn't published or isn't set up on the network
claudio`abrotman: yes, i've read the backports.org instruction
GuerinooXoo: you can't
karstenGuerin: Could be that my auth stuff not being properly configurated has something to do with it.
Guerinpossible
ooXooI ment - how to disable journal in file system
karstenGuerin: OK. Well, They're Just Not Showing Up[tm] at present.
jetscreamerjsut mount it as ext2
ooXooin reisersfs, in ext3
jetscreamerif ti's ext3
GuerinooXoo: in reiserfs it can't be done, ttbomk
ooXoo: in ext3, just mount it as ext2
jetscreamerlose the reiser imo
Guerinseconded
claudio`stew: do you need the output of apt-get?
karstenjetscreamer: ... and the wife.
ooXooso when I am 100% shure I do not need journaling I should use ext2 filesystems? I thought reiser is faster? ext2 have ACLs and xattr?
karstenooXoo: Yes on ACLs, not sure on xattr.
GuerinooXoo: reiser is not fun times. ext2 is very fast, and ttbomk has both acls and xattr.
karstenooXoo: ext2fs should be faster (no journaling overhead) than ext3. Reiserfs has better performance on directories w/ large numbers of files.
ithiumhi people, is this the right place to ask for pointers on Xen bugs under Debian?
