HymnToLifeBawbag, ##linux
ma3xkarsten: whats your problem?
enoufBawbag: you mean coding and Linux driver devel?
LoRezkarsten: don't make the ops lart you. stew already said something to him.
jmalickima3x: everyone's told you what their problem with you is... why not listen?
jelly-homema3x: it's a support channel, not general chat
karstenma3x: What do _you_ think it might possibly be?
sepskiBawbag, the weekly build is simply broken atm use dailes
BawbagHymnToLife: Fair enough. thanks
enoufBawbag: could try ##kernel ..
karstenLoRez: Ops can tell me to lay off if they feel it's appropriate.
LoRezkarsten: I just did.
karstenLoRez: Point ;-)
enoufkarsten: use /ignore on the b0z0 .. I have had to in the past
karstenenouf: Dig.
jmalickienough: good idea
dkrjmalicki: "what's your problem?" is a rhetorical provocation, not a real question indicating concern about someone else. :)
jmalickidkr: i didn't ask what his problem was
FlimzyI have a server that hangs on reboot with a warning about ACPI Thermal Zone, and it reports a temp of ~92 C. I look at /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/trip_points, and all 3 are set to 100. What are reasonable values to set these to?
enoufjmalicki: now you know why my first comment about kernel boot params wasn't directed at anyione in particular :-)
jmalickidkr: oh, i get you now ;)
karstenFlimzy: What's spec for your kit?
Flimzykarsten: I have no idea.
valdynFlimzy: is that 92 even correct?
Flimzyvaldyn: *shrug*.
valdynFlimzy: k8-temp loaded?
karstenFlimzy: Find a mfr recommended temp range.
Flimzyvaldyn: k8-temp?
karstenFlimzy: I'd think ~120-140C, but really don't know.
hatterjmalicki: what happens if cpio hits the end of the tape ?
ma3xdkr: I dont care if you interpret it as a rhetorical provocation it was a question if I could ask about mounting bsd/win or any other partition on debian.
jmalickihatter: dunno, i always used tar
karstenFlimzy: What's your ambient and/or cooling situation there?
ma3xdkr: won't discuss about it anymore however
Flimzykarsten: is it normal for all three trip points to be the same?
valdynFlimzy: 'k8temp'
ma3xkarsten gets annoyed by everything
jmalickihatter: tar knows how to handle multi-tape archives
Flimzykarsten: ambient is 70 F
karstenFlimzy: NFC, really. 70F is sane.
