Gettyoh btw, do you know what happens if you just copy some RHEL from one host to another? does RH get a notice or something? the client gives us images of his RHEL and i at first wanna see if the stuff runs at all, before i make the transfer to centos
evil_steveRHEL runs happily

Gettydo you know "wave" ?

the infrastructure manager of our client uses "wave" for the deployment of webserver instances
kikinovakHi. On a fresh CentOS 5 install (GNOME desktop), I just changed the line for the gateway in /etc/sysconfig/network... and after rebooting, startup hangs... what's wrong?
Gettyand its hard to find something about "wave" on the net ;)
kiki: hangs how long? forever? or just takes longer?
rangekikinovak: Gateway not reachable and thus having problems resolving names?
Gettykiki: in second case ... see range
kikinovakGetty X server starts, and then there's only the GDM background... when I kill X with Ctrl Alt Backspace, I see the last thing that tries to start is "avahi"

aKKiLLaI just installed a fresh CentOS 5 on ym dev server. For some reason apache can only listen on port 80 and prt 8080. If I set Listen to any other port apache will not start. It also doesn't log any errors. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
GD77aKKiLLa removes the port 80 and 8080 add one of them and add another port save and restart apache and tell em if listens to another one ex: 10421 let ss ay
rangeaKKiLLa: SELinux.
Adding mod_ssl you should also be able to start apache on port 443 :)
aKKiLLa:)
GD77any error log aKKiLLa ?
