devhen|Workrange: ha! thanks :)
haxEvolution: if i run that, it gives me something that looks like a hash
Evolutionhax: right.
haxEvolution: do i... put that somewhere?
Evolutionhax: that's how you generate the /etc/rndc.key
devhen|Workrange: no php* in the dir, just the 'php' and 'php-cgi' from the path
ivazquezTry this: ls php*
haxEvolution: is that what i'm supposed to put in 'secret'?
rangedevhen|Work: And that's not php*?
Evolutionhax: one moment, work is demanding my time.
haxEvolution: sure thing
ZathrusEvolution: just tell them to go blow something else up
devhen|Workrange: nvm, my bad. there is a folder that starts with php* ...
haxEvolution: well if i put one of those hashes in /etc/rndc.key as the 'secret' attribute... bind starts
Evolution: strangely its not in service --status-all anymore though
but named is definitely running
ctaloihey all - i'm having some issues with multiple NIC's and static routes / my correct default GW sticking - anyone feel like helping ??
haxEvolution: it certainly works now, but i have no idea why what i did worked
range.oO ( Magic ... )
storm-zenare there any PCI wireless cards that "just work" with Centos 5?
haxEvolution: nevermind, i got it figured out... i don tunderstand why it does what it does... but no complaints :)
umeshnI have vncserver installed on Centos 5 and trying to connect from windows client "Failed to connect", do I have config anything on Centos ?
Evolutionumeshn: iptables.
your firewall is likely in the way.
orc_orcstorm-zen: Cisco 340's
storm-zenThanks orc_orc; I don't suppose Fry's carries those? =/
orc_orcstorm-zen: ebay for cheap
I buy them in ten lots
storm-zenKk. Thanks.
Evolutionanything ipw2200 works 'nearly' out of the box. you just have to install the firmware from rpmforge
orc_orcstorm-zen: those have worked since RHL7 days with no issues
storm-zenOk. Thanks again. :D
Zathrusorc_orc: those are just wireless bridges, right?
orc_orc: connect via ethernet
orc_orcZathrus: no - there is an Aironet PCMCIA card in that series as well
the bridge uses the cards inside
Zathrusah, Google brought up the wrong thing
actionZathrus notes the request was for PCI, not PCMCIA

also these work very well forever -- many HW ventors whiteboxed the PCI adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/CISCO-AIRONET-340-SERIES-WIRELESS-LAN-ADAPTER-11-MBPS_W0QQitemZ280114157748QQihZ018QQcategoryZ45000QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
