evil_steveyour cpp and your LD flags appear to be set wrong. I don't know what they should be, but I'd look at that first
marcsterevil_steve : odd thing is, this error message only appears on 2.1.15 but not on 2.1.22

kikinovakHi. I'm a new CentOS user, and I'm currently busy RTFM, especially 'managing software with yum'. The guide claims to be explicitly written for CentOS 4. Q: are there any differences for CentOS 5, and if so, are they documented somewhere?
ArrfabMorning ..
kikinovakMorning...
I just asked a question maybe 1 min before you joined... could I politely repeat it?
Here goes:
Hi. I'm a new CentOS user, and I'm currently busy RTFM, especially 'managing software with yum'. The guide claims to be explicitly written for CentOS 4. Q: are there any differences for CentOS 5, and if so, are they documented somewhere?
dtgormmorning
kikinovakmorning

evil_stevekikinovak: not many differences
dtgormim having a heall of a time with my WMP54G w/ Ralink 2500 chipset
evil_steveif any
actiondtgorm wonders... does eveil_steve ever sleep
dtgormwonders... does eveil_steve ever sleep
evil_steveDTGorm: No, managing my World Domination franchise keeps me going all day and night
I powernap when I get the chance
kikinovakDTGorm I have rt2500 on most of my machines. I'm currently running Debian Etch on all of them, and I'm migrating to CentOS 5. I'll tell you soon.
DTGorm but the rt2500 is usually hassle-free on Linux. I configured it on Slackware, Debian and other distros. Take a look at rt2x00.serialmonkey.com.
Arrfabkikinovak: the yum online doc for 5 is the same as for 4 : http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/yum/
dtgormtks kinovak... i have tried teh serialmonkey driver and i think after doing that, it shows up in my hardware under network, but hell if i can figure out to use it.. so i tried ndiswrapper and my card is still not light up
Arrfabkikinovak: but new plugins are available in the extras repo for 5
kikinovakArrfab well, there are some corrections to be made, because on the link you gave me, it states it's "for CentOS 4".
DTGorm dunno... I only ever configure Linux using commandline tools (ifconfig, iwconfig, vi, ...)
Arrfabkikinovak: that's why i told you that docs are identical :)
kikinovakLOL
dtgormkikinovak: ya, thats the way im doing it.
kikinovakArrfab where's the main communication channel for CentOS? Mailing lists? Forums?
