|benfish||talk to my vps? its in a data centre the other side of the world somewhere :P|
|Evolution||benfish: mostly, it means that your vps is restricting what your machine can do.|
it's nothing centos related that we can help you with.
it's how your VPS set up the service they sold you.
|benfish||ok, thanks :)|
|Aw0L||my server is no longer serving drupal pages - regular php and html pages work fine, but it seems like for pages that need to interact with mysql, it's brok|
any ideas of some trouble shooting?
|Elmer-Fudd||kill the wabbit|
|dwilson805||is your mysql daemon still running/|
|benfish||leave the rabbit o.o|
|Aw0L||mysql is still running, yes|
blasted cpanel is running on that machine, if it makes a difference
|Evolution||Aw0L: you need to contact cpanel for assistance. they rebuild the application layer, so default centos package instructions won't work for you.|
you've got stuff in /usr/local/foo and such which is not rpm controlled.
|Aw0L||Evolution, ok - thanks|
|Evolution||Aw0L: sorry. (that's basically the foundation of my bitch with cpanel. they don't use distro packages)|
|kriston||Oooh so excited about CentOS 5|
|Aw0L||Evolution, I'm not too fond of cpanel myself|
|Zombie||I am too, but its not on any mirrors yet.|
|haseo_||Who can tell me that when the CentOS 5 will release?|
|Evolution||haseo_: anyone with a crystal ball|
|Zombie||It was supposed to come out today.|
|Evolution||haseo_: it'll be released soon. before the end of the week.|
|deepsa||centos will come today at UTC+11:59 according z00dax|
|kriston||compiz sounds really cool|
|Evolution||deepsa: check topic.|
|deepsa||Evolution, yeah when z00dax changed it he told that here.|
|deepsa||and sorry for discussing 5 here. i know it should be in #centos-social.|
|Elmer-Fudd||no more pwter wabbit|
|Evolution||no problem. it'll be on topic in a day or so :-P|
|Elmer-Fudd||no more woger wabbit|
no more brer wabbit
