centos 5 final release date? , yes a know will be done when it's done , but any hint?
|pony||catalinux_ro: CentOS 5 is currently scheduled for release April 9th, 2007 at 23:59GMT. Further discussion is offtopic except in #centos-social.|
|alleycat||range: pony does not answer unless the trigger word is part of a sentence ?|
|Lalufu||whatis centos 5|
It is picky, it seems.
|irens||centos 5 final|
hm, dos'nt trigger a pony
where is centos 5 final
don't work either
|lang72||Centos5 release date?|
|longword||pony, centos 5|
pony, lump of sugar?
Last I heard, tentative date of April 9th/10th
|mbn_18||hello, when dowloading binaries. what should i favour, ES or AS ?|
|range||alleycat: No, not really. It answer if certain trigger words are there.|
Just centos 5 is not enough.
|longword||mbn: What binaries are these?|
|longword||yum install postgresql|
|mbn_18||longword, i want the 8.2.x|
|longword||I see. Not sure why there would be a difference between ES and AS for 3rd party packages|
|mbn_18||longword, ill go for the ES then.|
|hughesjr||mbn_18: if there was a difference, centos would be AS type|
|range||CentOS is AS.|
|mbn_18||ohh ok :)|
the only difference SHOULD be number of processors supported, etc.
|longword||Could the difference be in the memory model used to build i386 code?|
|hughesjr||maybe ,,, but that should be a kernel (and not a ES/AS) difference|
|mbn_18||i wonder what is the diffrence|
|hughesjr||AFAIK the only difference is the "supported" number of processors|
but that is a RH support only issue and not a CODE issue. The RPMS in both version from RH have the same md5sums
|mbn_18||hughesjr, still there are two version for postgres. maybe its conseptualt change. like AS postgres is built to exapnd. ( just a guess )|
