genomerSo I'm assuming the "< 24 hours" release time was pushed back because of slow seeding to the mirrors?
gumaAnyone tried to use Ghost to image one box to another? I have few servers. Same hardware on all of them. I installed CentOS 4.4 on one of them and trying to move the image to other boxes. All servers have RAID 1 (3ware 9650SE). Ghost 11 can see them drive and partition and I can make image
Zathrusthere's been no push back since Monday.
Darkyguma: i'd say setup a kickstart instead
orc_orcguma: ask ghost commercial support
gumaBut when I put it on another machine I get droppped (after I image new box with the image) to grub console
orc_orcyou are OT here
genomerIn the sense that I checked it yesterday morning and the topic said "< 24 hours" and I'm checking again this morning and now it's "later today". Not upset, just curious.
gumaProblem with Boot record?
costinelguma: reinstall grub
Lincoln6Ech1guma: yes, i've used ghost --- the older ghost 8 DOS version --- it works
gumaI know I could use kickstart. But I have much more setup than just initial packages installed
wwalker_is there support in CentOS 3.8 for PXE boot? I find the pxe files on CentOS 4 but not on 3
orc_orcwwalker_: yes
all the way back to RHL 6 at least
genomerguma: use %post in kickstart file, you can put all kinds of postinstall scripts in there
gumaHow do you install grub? When I type HELP I do not see option
costinelguma: after cloning re-run grub. google for that
orc_orcguma: full docs at: http://www.centos.org/docs/4/
