lol69what i have to on vsftpd.conf to restrict access only to the user directory????
alleycatArchon: yes, it is
Archonok thanks
alleycatsweetnsourbkr: the only "mix" from fedora is usage of yum. which has become the default tool in rhel5.
lol69: chroot_local_user
zog-vsla bit of googling hasnt helped, anyone know if there is an rpm for postfix that supports mysql5 libs for mysql maps?
sweetnsourbkric thanks
alleycatzog-vsl: mysql5 is not officially supported on centos 3/4 so the answer is "no, unless custom built"
zog-vsl: if you are familiar with building rpms, you can retrieve a src.rpm from postfix.wl0.org and customize according to your needs
jenocinis there a release date set on centos 5.0 yet?
alleycatjenocin: soon. stay tuned :)
jenocinalrighty, been kinda looking forward to it
alleycat.first week(s) of april
they are working on it. and as gaim guys say.. will be released when ready.
jenocinwoohoo :-) i'm ready for an update from my 4.4 at work, been running some other distros at home
hey does 5 have gfs2 in it?
dan__t'evening
MACscrhow does centos know with ethernet interface to use to get on the internet?
jenocingateway
MACscrreason i ask is that i for some reason cant seem to ping any times or you use yum
jenocini'm guessing
MACscri have two interfaces
one active, the other not
jenocinshould have a problem with the inactive one, I never do
MACscrhmm, what about lo (local loopback)
jenocinlike I said, its usually based off your default gateway and dns
MACscrbut that info is based on an interface
jenocinif you can't get out, get the ip for the site and try to ping it
alleycatMACscr: this has nothing to do with centos. it's default kernel behaviour: the default routing rules applies
MACscralleycat: are you trying to tell me i should ask somewhere else?
zog-vslalleycat: thanks, yeah i just rebuilt the source rpm and it is working fine
have mysql5 postfix /etc/alias in mysql goodness
alleycatMACscr: i just try to say that a) not a centos problem b) start with dns and routing
jenocinMACscr: might have better luck in #linux
MACscrhmm, cant even ping an ip, so i definitely have an issue
aflury_TCP/IP Illustrated Volume 1 might help.
(sorry, being snarky)
perhaps you do not have a default route set up.
deepsawhat does chmod 666 /etc/securetty effect to my login as root ?
aflury_oops... that was mentioned.
