USB Mass Storage device found at 2
my media directory contains: cdrom, floppy, NO_NAME (that I've previously created for my USB HDD)
this this my filesystem situation:
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
134272288 30217280 97234352 24% /
/dev/sda1 101086 23172 72695 25% /boot
none 1027732 0 1027732 0% /dev/shm
don't paste it here.. just check if your device is there :P
and so on
|r2bit||hm.. try this one http://vic.gedris.org/linux-UsbMassStorage/|
sg3_utils is in the base repo
|sox_||yes I've already read a similar howto|
I've installed this package... but when I give the command "sg_scan -i"
I don't receive any result..
|r2bit||did you try mounting /dev/sdb1 separately as i told you?|
|Zap-W||usually when installing linux in a server with a FC HBA which is connected to a system storage the HBA driver has to be supported by the installer right?|
|sox_||just a moment.. I retry|
what do u mean with "saparately"??
|r2bit||i mean not mounting /dev/sd* as you did before|
In my system I've a radi software.. so when i give this command mount /dev/sdb1 /media/NO_NAME
Is mounted /boot partition
|ubuh-huntuh2||anyone here using qmail + courrier imap (from qmailrocks.org) Everything works for me so far except that it can't send out mails (maillog says nothing). Even when I use "echo test | sendmail email@example.com"|
|sox_||If the usb storage is seen correctly by the sistyem, I should find an entry like "sdg1"|
|r2bit||boot is sda1 and i assume lvm is on sda2|
so sdb has to be the usb mass storage
anyway, check pvdisplay to see which devices lvm is using
oh.. wait a sec.. you;re saying that sda1 is the same as sdb1?
damn me :P
