pseudorhwt: are going to add h323 or ather addons?
hwt: don't forget to set --without-mysql and another useful things, if any
[TK]D-FenderEnigma: Go look at features.conf
hydra__: ....
~sipnat
jbotmethinks sipnat is for for more information about configurtion of Asterisk with SIP behind NAT, see http://voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SIP+NAT+solutions
pifis CALLERIDNUM totally deprecated in 1.4.x ?
Cresl1nyep
gone, gone gone
[TK]D-Fenderpif: Yes, time to read the big print and follow all those nice articles :)
Enigma[TK]D-Fender: This file seems only to be a template
[TK]D-FenderEnigma: that is where it is defined, nowhere else
pifok, ok, fair enough, so ${CALLERIDNUM:6} becomes what?
:)
Enigma[TK]D-Fender: ok thx
hwtpseudor: well, this is 1.2, and that doesn't support ./configure
AndrewGearharthey folks. I'm trying to understand a quote that I got for a PRI line. I have options for a few things listed in the quote that I am not certain what they are... for example: "Caller ID/Number" and "Caller ID Name-where available"
pseudorhwt: uncool :) I thought we talk about 1.4.0
[TK]D-Fenderhwt: Then you're up a creek with that approach. Set up a VM or something
pif: lookup "asterisk functions" on the WIKI, and welcome to TWO YEARS AGO.
pseudorhwt: why do you use this old hog?
pif[TK]D-Fender : do I need ${CALLERID(num)} or is CALLERID(num) enough?
alin`asterisk normally should be able to translate perfectly from a codec to another codec?
randulo[TK]D-Fender would you believe my Polycom froze and when I rebooted it went back to an old config AGAIN?
finally had to get off my butt and ssh to the server where the config files are
NOT_guruhello all again
[TK]D-Fenderrandulo: Only reason its change configs is that the place its looking at while booting is different that what was last loaded into the phone. What BTW, is entirely YOUR doing :)
MercestesAndrewGearhart, Is there a question in there? CallerID/Number is the *reported* number calling you (not necessarily the real number) and CallerID Name where available is the reported name (again, not necessarilly real) of the person calling you.
NOT_guruI had gotten some help from digium yesterday with my tdm804p
[TK]D-Fenderpif: this is also listed in THE BOOK, IIRC.... get reading! time to learn about proper variable/function usage, priority change, etc
coolbeansYo whattup g's
AndrewGearhartMercestes: sorry if the question wasn't clear.. but yes, the definition that you typed is essentially what I was looking for. Should it be nearly $100 / mo to get both of those?
NOT_guruand the card worked after that... but upon reboot the card does not show up till I do a mod probe
randulo[TK]D-Fender yes, I was confused for years about the priority between phone config via menu, web server and ftp
it still looks for the wrong ntp which I haven't figured out yet
NOT_gurugregabyte: are you around ? the card does not come up after a reboot
MercestesAndrewGearhart, It could be. They are going to want their $300-600 a month for their PRI, how they itemize it means little really.
NOT_guruuntil after a "modprobe wctdm24xxp"
anonymouz666haha
[TK]D-Fenderrandulo: Confusion relieved by learning that you should not be configuring ANYTHING via the web interface or phone :)
