| blitzrage | neuralwind: you may have to recompile and install, yes just go into the source directory and type, 'make install' |
| luckyone | really bad echo on my sound card, I am not sure what is causing that... |
| killown | somebody can say me what necessary to have asterisk functioning to effect linkings for telephones public? |

| asteriskguy | JT how's it going? |
| JT | killown: i mean kiscokid: sorry for confusion asteriskguy: not bad, you? |
| kiscokid | JT: np |

| JT | sweet |
| asteriskguy | yeah, but I've got two weeks to figure out DUNDi clustering |
| JT | :/ |
| asteriskguy | either that or somekind of clustering with SER/OpenSER I don't know do you have any experience with setting up asterisk with sip trunk? |
| JT | what do you mean by sip trunk? |
| asteriskguy | sip provider |
| JT | yes |
| asteriskguy | Ok, question then |
| hansin321 | I have compiled latest Asterisk (along with Zaptel driver for my X101P FXO card). I usually have been ok with this before, but for some reason this time I can't seem to get * to listen for SIP (port 5060). I have a sip.conf set up. Any pointer or ideas of what I should check out? I understand this is limited information. Thanks. |
| NEURALWIND | i install asterisk and zaptel and also configure my zaptel.con file now how do i test it? |
| asteriskguy | you know in the zapata.conf you have to declare a context for incoming calls? context=whatever I'm not sure how I would do that with sip |
| JT | hansin321: check nothing else is listening on the port asteriskguy: same thing context= |
| NEURALWIND | i install asterisk and zaptel and also configure my zaptel.con file now how do i test my x100p card now? |
| asteriskguy | but you have to declare two parts right? user and peer? can you use friend? |
| JT | asteriskguy: or friend |
| asteriskguy | sounds simple |
| hansin321 | JT: There should be nothing. I am running on a bare-install server, and 'netstat -an' shows nothing. |
| JT | hansin321: errors on bringing up asterisk? |
| hansin321 | neuralwind: Try running the command 'ztcfg -vvv" to see at least if your card is being recognized. |
