| Strom_C | no pri_cpe |
| JT | lol brain_fart |
| ms345 | I have a pri for my incoming, but this was a t1 just for ld out. weird that it like pri better than fxs_ though. |
| JT | yes cpe_net makes no sense |
| Strom_C | pri is kickass |
| JT | ms345: does it work in pri mode or not? |
| ms345 | i knew you meant pri_cpe after I checked the list of signalling types at least asterisk loads , but span 5 is down... hold a sec and I'll ge the pri show span for it |
| JT | did you set the D channel/ |
| ms345 | bchan=97-119 dchan=120 |
| JT | i'll go right ahead and assume you can count and that's right :) |
| ms345 | Status: Provisioned, Down, Active d channel on 1 was 24, then 48,96,now 120.. |
| JT | you should really check with the telco as to what mode it's running in |
| ms345 | I was trying to slip asterisk between my legacy pbx ld t1 and the telco.... already did that for the pri... though it was a plain t1 where the numbers are sent inband (no d channel) channels ont he legacy are locking up during the day, so I wanted asterisk in between so I could reset channels rather than power cycling the ld t1 card in the phone switch. |
| JT | do you think it will fix the problem? |
| ms345 | no, but I will have more control to reset individual channels using asterisk... I can;t even see if anyone is using any ld channels on the legacy pbx... big mystery other than some people are on calls but not 24 and we get busy signals. telco says channels lock out on the t1 due to equip on my side. I'd rather have * talk to telco and * talk to legacy pbx t1 just to try something different |
| JT | okay |
| Juggie | asterisk will already reset the channels every so often every hour i think |
| JT | Juggie: what do you mean by resetting a channel? |
| ms345 | Juggie - good point... damn,, it sure acts like a pri Signalling requested on channel 97 is E & M Immediate but line is in PRI Signalling signalling |
| sumasuma | ok looks like the server is down ! |
| tengulre | why not play the mp3 when musiconhold, [default] mode=custom directory=/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 application=/usr/local/bin/mpg123 -q -r 8000 -f 8192 -b 2048 --mono -s random=yes |
| Dannz | hi, i have a x100p (wildfire) and when i call the number that its attached to, the card picks up the line and i hear "sorry the number you dialed is not in service... etc" |
| tengulre | what's error ,WaitMusicOnHold requires an argument? |
| JT_ | ms345: so maybe it's using E & M signalling? |
| tengulre | hmm... |
| ms345 | no - I set it to E&M just to test.... but even with the (correct?) cable unplugged I get "Signalling requested on channel 97 is FXS Kewlstart but line is in PRI Signalling signalling" so it mus tbe my config.... |
| Juggie | JT, asterisk resets unused channels every hour or so i dont know the exact interval and i believe its configurable now |
