Farzwith root-jail
if you have a friggin clue what that means
[TK]D-Fenderstrom_M : I use vsftpd for normal FTP, not SFTP, but it seems pretty functional and well respected.
Strom_Mthanks, [TK]D-Fender
MercestesFarz: I would definately suggest pissing off Strom_M as much as humanly possible.
Strom_M: I use sshd too tho.
danp[TK]D-Fender: cool that it works. sucks that it's another option that has to be specificed for each phone, though (i assume). a hassle for realtime SIP config
Farzi try ;)
[TK]D-FenderStrom_M, Good for chroot-ing, limiting users, etc. I like it. CentOS has taught me about a number of different tools I might not have used otherwise. Coming from Slackware I'm used to ProFTPD which was good as well. I'm just kinda following the "corporate install-base"
froguzsometimes, when i call to certain places using the FXO channel, there's a rare tone sequence (like a singing bird) when the call begins. at the 3rd sequence loop, Asterisk thinks the far end is busy and hangup. why?
[TK]D-Fenderdanp, Yeah I suppose, but I can ENTIRELY live with these things as long as they're documented.
MercestesStrom_M: emerge -av sshd
Strom_Mi'm running debian and i already have sshd ;)
danp[TK]D-Fender: yeah, that's true
[TK]D-Fenderdanp, I sometimes wich I could apply for a job to completely renovate the WIKI :)
froguzthis is the CLI debug for my Zap channel: [ TYPE: Control (4) SUBCLASS: Busy (5) ] [Zap/4-1]
danpyes, me too
e-miliohello all
where is a good place to look for a DID delivered via sip or iax ?
ghostohello all
rudholmStrom_M: WinSCP
[TK]D-Fenderfroguz, set "callprogress=no" for your zaptel channel
Strom_Mrudholm: thanks, but I think i'm going to use the DOS FTP client instead
rudholmoh yeah, that works even better
cuz it's command-line
[TK]D-FenderStrom_M, I would personally recommend FileZilla as a client....
froguz[TK]D-Fender, do you know if that tone sequence belongs to an R2 line?
[TK]D-Fenderfroguz, no clue.
froguzthanks
ghostook...earlier i was asking how to connect a Nortel Succession 1000s to Asterisk (i was under the nick gosht)...we went to our client to inspect the hardware and found no open T1 slots for us to do a T1 tie with our Asterisk
so we were thinking of doing IP trunking...any ideas?
rudholmStrom_M: you don't even know what a root-jail is! :-P
Strom_Mtrue
rudholmStrom_M: I pnz0r you!
Strom_Mmy linux-fu is not fu enough
CuriosCatHowdy all. I got my FXO card and I'm compiling the zaptel driver; my ultimate goal is to be able to have my system call me and read specific emails (outage alerts) back to me using festival text-to-speech.
pfnthat's not a question
CuriosCatI'd appreciate some pointers on hw to set that up
pfnthat's still not a question
CuriosCat"how do I output digitized audio to a phone line connected to an FXO card?"
