justdaveheh, I like this idea of propagating MWI by making a phone call to an extension that updates it :)
drfreezeetfonhomey: yes
etfonhomeypastebin your ntp.conf
drfreezeetfonhomey: I think I found what I have suspected, but was not showing itself. Had an invalid intry in a cfg file
etfonhomeyk
drfreezeetfonhomey: http://pastie.textmate.org/57572
hmm, still flashing
etfonhomeycomment out everthing in your ntp.conf file except your "server" and "dirftfile" statements and restart ntpd.
Then reboot your phones.
drfreezeMan, this sucks
time is off by 3 hrs
ok
etfonhomeyIt's blinking but the time is off by 3 hours?
drfreezeyes
Sunday Dec 31
phone's rebooting now....
etfonhomeyWhat's in your /etc/ntp/step-tickers file?
drfreezejas
0.vmware.pool.ntp.org
1.vm.... and 2.vm... as well
ok, looks like the time is fixed at 6:00
Dec 31, Sunday, 6:01 pm
etfonhomeyOK. Paste bin the results of an /etc/init.d/ntpd stop and then a start.
drfreezehttp://pastie.textmate.org/57576
etfonhomeyOK. ntp is working on that machine. So, your ntp setup on your phones is f'd up.
drfreezeThe log file gives me: 0004f203d171-app.log:1231180000|so |4|02|SNTP: initial soMain sync failed with server 192.168.50.1.
ok
woah!
etfonhomeyDid you take out (or comment out) the "restrict" lines in your ntp.conf?
drfreezethe time is now correct and no flashing
yes
etfonhomeyI think maybe you just needed to restart NTP after f'ing with ntp.conf.
drfreezeall phones are working now, even without a reboot
etfonhomeyGood.
drfreezeinteresting
what did that restrict do?
etfonhomeyNot sure, but probably only lets localhost connect, which wouldn't really make since.
drfreezeetfonhomey: wow, that fixed all the phones
thanks!
