pfnwhy would you use ztdummy with a tdm card
unload it
ertyuwhats a recommended SIP phone thats high on value/features?
[TK]D-FenderPolycom > All
ertyubig differences between older and newer models?
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, depends on your needs. describe them and I'll make you a recommendation
ertyuno specific needs currently, just keep tabs on a couple VM boxes, like to have some versatile around for future uses
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, just 1 phone watching multiple boxs?
ertyuyep
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, IP 601 then. 6 line keys with lighted indicators, and expandable, support PoE & wall brick out of the box. $240 USD
ertyu, also a higher resolution screen for use with the MicroBrowser.
ertyu, which lends itself as another diagnostic tool
ertyuthe microbrowser?
lee_is_mepfn: i had it installed before I put the TDM card in
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, integrated XHTML browser on the phone, accessable through the "Services" button, and with an "Idle" page with refresh interval for "live" data.
pfnso uninstall it
lee_is_meOK, but you asked me why it was installed with the TDM ;)
Thanks for the answer though...
ertyuyep, I know what is it, you're saying use it for diagnostics?
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, For just 1 phone you could maybe forgive yourself spending a little more for the IP 650 which is USB expandable (no point yet),backlight, HD voice codec (G.722), etc.
ertyu, you could have your phone poll your servers and display "live" info passed back via it.
ertyutrue enough, lots of interesting stuff you can do if you dream it up
Jameno123isnt that kinda the point in
sending a URL to the phone?
with the call
ertyunoticed OOS 650 refurb at voipsupply, wonder if they will get more
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, Picture parsing the outputs of "top" onto the screen for load comparison, etc
Jameno123so it doesnt have to poll?
[TK]D-FenderJameno123, Only Cisco supports that right now.
Jameno123, Polycom is poll-only
blitzrageI DON'T WANT TO MEET YOUR MOM!
I JUST WANT
ertyuany thoughts on the aastra phones? saw the 57i the other day, looked very nice
blitzrageertyu: they aastra phones are starting to get a lot of positive reviews amongst Asterisk users lately from what I've seen
[TK]D-Fender! ! !
lee_is_meAnyone played with these phones yet? http://www.sysmaster.com/products/video_phone.php
[TK]D-Fenderertyu, Not so great at polling, the rubbery keys on the 5i series are obnoxious. The backlight is good, but this is their first attempt at a "pixel" display and they are still outputting in char matrix mode (MORONS). Poor line handling capabilities.
