maskedyeah my laptop usually works fine 1 metre from the microwave
on the other hand, my mates blow up microwave ovens reguarally
lucky they are about 15km from me
so i'm uneffected
ManxPowerA friend's satellite pixelates every time they use their microwave.
Scares the hell out of me
J4k3ouch
thats bad
a digital microwave system tops out at 2150 or something
iirc.
ZnuffIs the GUI so advanced that you wouldn't need manual configuration of asterisk?
NuggetNo.
maskedi concur
ZnuffAre there plans for that?
NuggetPerhaps, but it's a long way off so I certainly wouldn't use that as an excuse to avoid learning how to configure asterisk.
PMantisHi. I found that with 1.4.1, if I have a meetme.conf line of "conf => 0555|", asterisk won't recognize the conference. I have to delete the trailing "|"
NuggetPersonally, I think it's an unrealistic goal.
ZnuffI see.
JTyeah
ZnuffI'm currently trying to make all calls go trough a sip trunk but I fail miserably
JTmost other software for *nix is configured with text files :)
actionPMantis nods
PMantisnods

ManxPower, I've added a new service provider, trying to make all calls go trough ti
ManxPowerJ4k3: the Satellite IF (LNB to/from Receiver) is somewhere between 1Ghz and 2.2Ghz
JTa microwave oven is meant to be 2.45GHz
ManxPowerJT: It doesn't make a lot of sense, but that is what happens.
ZnuffHmm, now I get a 503 - Service Unavailable, that's some progress
JTsupurious transmissions from microwave, LO sensitivity in sat receiver
could be a bunch of things
ManxPowerMy suggestion was to replace the microwave.
Nuggetheh
ZnuffOh yeah, back to my main problem: I'm trying to call an external number, the phone rings once then I get: -- Got SIP response 415 "Unsupported Media Type" back from 10.0.0.1
J4k3some microwave ovens are 915mhz, and some 450 mhz
from what I've been told
2.4 is 'cheap and easy' for home microwaves
JTerr what
