Husio;)
STiATHusio: definitely wrong, or you don't know how sudo works
spasticteapotXubuntu has, mysteriously, become even more laggy.
linfanI have a lot in Emerald Theme Manager
Husiohow it works doesn't matter... it's all m$ soft now...
STiATHusio: also wrong
VardyrDarkJesus: ioquake3?
DarkJesusVardyr, normal quake3
spasticteapotIs XFCE the "default" GUI system?
Vardyrlinfan: yeah, and do any of them actually look good?
yettenetWell, thank you anyway, I'll give it a look later
I have to go sleep now
spasticteapotI could theoretically use KDE, of course, but I really like XFCE, and want to keep support.
yettenetSry for my bad language, I'm just really pissed off :(
VardyrDarkJesus: I've built ioquake3 because it has updated sound support, etc.
I would suggest that one
STiATHusio: microsoft patented a background daemon / process / service running for accessing root capabilities as a user. That has nothing to do with sudo actually, since sudo does not run any background processes
linfanwell, i don't use it - just have it for fun and put it on once every forthnight - lol
DarkJesusOh, it is the same thing?
spasticteapotSTiAT: Actually, it's par for the course.
DarkJesusVardyr?
linfan... just to check it still works
HusioSTiAT: ok, I wasn't serious
STiATHusio: sudo does not require an "administrative process to be running" all the time
spasticteapotSTiAT: Someone does something in Unix, and our friends (cough) in Redmond manage to copy it in a way that is, while slightly more user-friendly, much more buggy and bloaty.
VardyrDarkJesus: it's supposedly the "de facto" GPL version, http://ioquake3.org/
mainerspasticteapot: there is no "default" its what you want and only waht you want w/dependencies of course
spasticteapotsOh.
Husioanyway, is there some gui app for avahi file sharing?
spasticteapotD'oh! Typo.
mainer: XFCE is supported well?
STiATspasticteapot: well, they patented gnome-keyring... not sudo ;)
DarkJesusI need the pk3 files though
STiATspasticteapot: or kde-wallet
DarkJesusThe original quake 3
mainerbut arch has the 3 DE's,most wm's
DarkJesusI had it, but I can't find it any more
spasticteapotAll I know is that MS Windows seems to do very poorly at all the things Linux does well.
Like multitasking. And networking.
DarkJesusVardyr, can it connect to the default quake 3 mirrors?
