rixxonwingot: what's a ditz?
wingotdimwit
Fool
rixxonwingot: what's a dimwit?
wingot!urbandict ditz
phrikwingot: ditz: A superficically dumb valley chick, with no common sense what so ever. Usually of white race, rich, and pretty. Often uses words such as "like", "oh my gosh", "oh my goodness", "that is like so not cool at all", "dude". (Oh my gosh, I like so want to go to the mall dude... I am a preppy bitch, not a ditz .. hehe get that straighten out dude!); Paris Hilton, no other words needed. (None needed. You (4 more messages)
rixxonwingot: what's a fool?
oh, like me?
k.
wingotSee in that definition: "Paris Hilton"
NegherHehehe. That made my day.
rixxonYea. That is so me. Got one of those dogs you know. Because I'm gay. We have such dogs, yes.
wingotrixxon: You are rich and pretty!
sjxiaozrixxon, no. Revellion, alsamixer doesn't work, alonesparrow, aumix doesn't either. I'll add myself to audio, hold please.
aarcanedid aurbuild change ? it used to run as a user and depend on sudo, now it's telling me I have to be root to use it.
wingotaarcane: You should still be able to run it with sudo though
sputnik66O.o
try sudo -s aurbuild
through i doubt that'll do anything.. worth a try
rixxonOr, use yaourt. Nenenene.
aarcaneI can sudo aurbuild -usa, but I can't just aurbuild -usa and have it use sudo as needed to install. in fact I'm sure aurbuild used to complain when I ran as root, complaining it's not safe.
sxjizaiosAhh, adding to group audio worked. Thanks everyone. : )
yettenetHow much does it take to install arch linux?
sputnik66aarcane, you want to just type aurbuild instead of sudo aurbuild?
aarcaneyettenet, 20 minutes or so, if you're fairly competent and have some common sense. an hour if you're an idiot, and 5 minutes if you're a pro and have good hardware.
rixxonMy tips always works.
alonesparrowyettenet, very fast
aarcanesputnik66, I don't want to build as root, for security reasons.
yettenetaarcane: What if I am an idiot with good hardware? :P
aarcaneyettenet, could take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on your common sense.
sputnik66i always figured aurbuild required root privledges in order to install after the compilation is completed
yettenetaarcane: I love G.I.Joe
:P
aarcaneyettenet, if it's your first non-ubuntu install, expect to need to read a manual just in case.
yettenetbtw, I have installed Debian :P
aarcanesputnik66, nope. it built as a user, then used sudo to install when done.
sputnik66ahh i see
yettenetWell, anyway, baking a CD... thanks for the info, aarcane :P
aarcaneyettenet, you should be fine then. give it a try when you've got an hour to spare. you'll probably be pleasantly surprised when you're done in 20 and can go get a cup of coffee
