l0phtArch is spreading like a cancer among my friends. making everyone addicted :)
mOLOk:)
my mom uses Arch
l0phtI was an ex-slack user, installed arch, returned back to slack, didn't feel at home. then decided that arch is my new home.
mOLOkwe are trying to move a whole LUG to arch
l0phtit is really interesting for me to switch to another distro, leaving slack behind, as i loved it very much.
LeFallenl0pht: Well, you can always keep slack for the pre i686 machines :)
l0phtLeFallen: it will have a soft spot in my heart, forever. I'm a 8086 compatible linux user :)
nothlitl0pht: why 'loved'?
l0phtnothlit: it is my first distro, started using it at 1997. Its version was 3.5 then.
edgF, i'm not a pro at all, but can't you cat /etc/rc.d/tor and try to do the start procedure by hand line by line?
nothlitl0pht: no loved means past tense :P
l0phtI loved it, because I suppose I love arch more than slack now :)
edgcan't you love two things at the same time?
l0phtno, I can't. no threads support on me, yet.
Fedg: i got it, it was already running doh!
edgno thread support? that's turing-machine compatible, not just 8086...
l0phtmaybe :)
EricNeonhello

linfanI almost fell off the chair today doing pacman -Syu - I was told "lilo is required by archboot"??? But I use grub!
Maybe I should try 'pacman -R archboot grub' - but I don't remember why I have archboot in the first place
sorry - pacman -R archboot lilo
nothlitrixxon: any pop terminal client
jpa-or any mail client with fetchmail
mOLOkrixxon, it is
rixxonnothlit: ofcourse but i was looking for opinions/tips :)
fetchmail? i'm using getmail as suggested in the wiki
jpa-rixxon: getmail seems to do the same
mOLOki use fetchmail + procmail + spamassassin
spamassassin is a bit slow
well, actually is very slow
lbdb is cool
menkohi. I'm looking at setting up a machine to act as a proxy for caching. Do I need to set up the machine as a gateway? The (dynalink) router is currently acting as the gateway.
phrakturemOLOk: fdm is the best MDA around 8)
linfan: archboot has a crapilly large amount of deps... file a bug report about it 8)
