megaspazso class today we learned that what you think might not be relevent in the error log can in fact be relevent
thumbsalso known as
yangox^k: ok, whatever, now read again what I said
x^kok
setuidmegaspaz, That wasn't there until I set AllowOverride on
thumbsdon't try to be a smartass. We're smarter than you.
megaspazsetuid: i know... that's what you were complaining about
yangoor at least we think so
nuline370fajita, know of a guide to setup ssl on apache?
fajitano idea
setuidmegaspaz, No, I was complaining about something entirely different
nuline370looking for days and nothing i can find is helpfull, much.
setuidBut the solution is solved, AllowOverride is what allows .htaccess to be parsed
megaspazno you complained about doing allowoverride on and getting a server error. we told you to look in the error log. you said there was nothing relevent
thumbsyou lied
or ignored us
next time, swallow your pride and read the logs properly.
setuidmegaspaz, Nope, I didn't complain about that at all.
megaspaz18:50 < setuid> Ok, now when I have AllowOverride set to All, I get "Internal Server Error"
puhlease
setuidI came here because rewrite wasn't working, and you suggested .htaccess was ignored, and adding AllowOverride started throwing an error that it wasn't before, because of the RewriteLogLevel line in the .htaccess that was NOW parsed properly, because I added AllowOverride.
megaspaz18:57 < megaspaz> 18:50 < setuid> Ok, now when I have AllowOverride set to All, I get "Internal Server Error"
again
setuidmegaspaz, See above that, my original question when I joined
megaspazthat's what i told you to look in the error log for
setuidThat was not my original reason for jumping in here
megaspazwhich is irrelevent
setuidYOU suggested AllowOverride, which I added to try to SOLVE my original problem
megaspazright
and then you complained about SERVER ERROR
i told you to look in the error log
you said nothing relevent
setuidAnd it caused another, which raised an exception which allowed me to step back and pinpoint the issue, which was that .htaccess wasn't being parsed.
Nothing in the error log was relevant to mod_write not working
er, mod_rewrite
megaspazi didn't have you check the error log for mod_rewrite
setuidI wasn't complaining about the server error, I was stating that was the result of your test
yangoand we're all happy now. Please move on, everybody.
thumbsno, you mean that you were unable to read the error_log properly.
setuidthumbs, Incorrect.
