rjtadminmegaspaz: same thing.. :-(
megaspazfholmes_laptop: what's the www site?
fholmes_laptopwww.athletesconnection.com
megaspazi don't see a vhost for that
fholmes_laptopIT is an IP based vhost and it is at the end
megaspazi'd stick it in httpd-vhosts.conf and make it name based
fholmes_laptopEven if it has a dedicated IP?
megaspazmost likely the name based vhost is taking over everything since you use *:80 which means catch all interfaces on port 80
using * in vhosts can wreak havoc
you have 2 different external ips, correct
fholmes_laptopWe just hadn't finalized on a specific IP address for all of our non-dedicated IP addresses.
we actally have a /27
So 32 or something.
megaspazso which ip is the *:80 supposed to listen on?
fholmes_laptopWe will be using quite a few of those, atleast 15
.180 Is going to be the one we use in the end.
megaspazyour issue, i'm pretty sure is the *:80
it's grabbing everything that comes on port 80
so i think changing all *:80 to <ip>:80 should solve it
and you're using a single Listen 80, right?
fholmes_laptopThere will in the end be a single listen ip for the dynamic vhosts
or, just non-static required vhosts.
whatever you call them.
megaspazright, well, you need to specify it because it's grabbing everything... your ip based vhost will never get checked
Soekimegaspaz after y use the auth directives on <Directory> i get the promt for user and pass but after a valid user/pass its entered i still get a 403 error.
megaspazSoeki: look in the error log
403 errors always log to the error log
fholmes_laptopmegaspaz: Thanks, I will look into that further.
megaspazyeah your 65.57.248.162:80 vhosts will never get checked
if you think of interfaces as being identified by ip addresses, then the * is grabbing all interfaces on port 80... that includes 65.57.248.162:80, and those host will not match up with anything defined with <VirtualHost *:80>
Soekimegaspaz i will.
fholmes_laptopSo, should I setup the static IPs' with <VirtualHost 65.57.248.162:80>? Then the shared-ip's with <VirtualHost athletesconnection.com>
iam8up|tuxalbany verizon fiber! nice vbabiy
vbabiyyea it really is
megaspazfholmes_laptop: no
you should change the *:80 to some_ip:80
iam8up|tuxvbabiy: happy with their service?
megaspazthat's all *:80
rjtadmingrr..why does this happen: Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in ...... ?
iam8up|tuxrjtadmin: is that php..?
