|rjtadmin||megaspaz: same thing.. :-(|
|megaspaz||fholmes_laptop: what's the www site?|
|megaspaz||i don't see a vhost for that|
|fholmes_laptop||IT is an IP based vhost and it is at the end|
|megaspaz||i'd stick it in httpd-vhosts.conf and make it name based|
|fholmes_laptop||Even if it has a dedicated IP?|
|megaspaz||most likely the name based vhost is taking over everything since you use *:80 which means catch all interfaces on port 80|
using * in vhosts can wreak havoc
you have 2 different external ips, correct
|fholmes_laptop||We just hadn't finalized on a specific IP address for all of our non-dedicated IP addresses.|
we actally have a /27
So 32 or something.
|megaspaz||so which ip is the *:80 supposed to listen on?|
|fholmes_laptop||We will be using quite a few of those, atleast 15|
.180 Is going to be the one we use in the end.
|megaspaz||your issue, i'm pretty sure is the *:80|
it's grabbing everything that comes on port 80
so i think changing all *:80 to <ip>:80 should solve it
and you're using a single Listen 80, right?
|fholmes_laptop||There will in the end be a single listen ip for the dynamic vhosts|
or, just non-static required vhosts.
whatever you call them.
|megaspaz||right, well, you need to specify it because it's grabbing everything... your ip based vhost will never get checked|
|Soeki||megaspaz after y use the auth directives on <Directory> i get the promt for user and pass but after a valid user/pass its entered i still get a 403 error.|
|megaspaz||Soeki: look in the error log|
403 errors always log to the error log
|fholmes_laptop||megaspaz: Thanks, I will look into that further.|
|megaspaz||yeah your 18.104.22.168:80 vhosts will never get checked|
if you think of interfaces as being identified by ip addresses, then the * is grabbing all interfaces on port 80... that includes 22.214.171.124:80, and those host will not match up with anything defined with <VirtualHost *:80>
|Soeki||megaspaz i will.|
|fholmes_laptop||So, should I setup the static IPs' with <VirtualHost 126.96.36.199:80>? Then the shared-ip's with <VirtualHost athletesconnection.com>|
|iam8up|tux||albany verizon fiber! nice vbabiy|
|vbabiy||yea it really is|
you should change the *:80 to some_ip:80
|iam8up|tux||vbabiy: happy with their service?|
|megaspaz||that's all *:80|
|rjtadmin||grr..why does this happen: Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in ...... ?|
|iam8up|tux||rjtadmin: is that php..?|
