| gnube | Where does one put a rewrite directive in apache2? I wrote what I thought was a correct rewrite directive but it is not working. Here is the condition: RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^Java And here is the rule: RewriteRule ^/$ /glossary.html [L] |
| r2bit | is it ok, that LA-U:REMOTE_USER matching doesn't work if i use "Satisfy Any" ? |
| pctony | vice-versa: that is the whole idea of george fajita: george |
| fajita | pctony: george is http://chroniclesofgeorge.nanc.com/ - Behold the Chronicles Of George! |
| pctony | vice-versa: look at that ^^ it is very funny indeed gnube: __> elaborate |
| fajita | You make no sense, try to rephrase your question and elaborate on what you want, what you tried, and what didn't work (paste the error message you see in the error log, usually named error_log or error.log). Also tell us what platform you are on and what version of apache you are using. |
| gnube | pctony, Ok I have a bunch of spiders in a specific directory, all passing "Java .*" as a user agent string. I want to redirect them So I am using mod_rewrite in apache2 I edited apache2/sites-available/default and put the above rewrite condition and rule under document root, but it does not seem to work upon testing. The error logs show no errors, apache restarts without syntax issues, and the access log says 200 what have I done wrong? me wonders. |
| obert | having one index.html in the vhost, how to don't load it when i point my browser to that url? |
| pctony | obert, if you have it set you cant make it not load |
| stanojr | pctony: i found a solution for my problem, "AllowOverride Options=All,Multiviews", when i set only Options, default is All without Multiviews, bug in apache ? |
| pctony | no expected |
| stanojr | but not compatibile with apache 2.0 :) |
| gnube | Where does one put a rewrite directive in apache2? |
| botmind | can i ask apache-php compilation question? |
| gnube | botmind, Are they Ubuntu related? If not you might want to try #php or #apache |
| pctony | this is #apache |
| fajita | #apache is a meritocracy. or "If you don't want to be helped, we'll push the solution down your throat" |
