omrycould it be that localhost.localdomain activity is not logged by default? (debian etch)
jMCgomry: uhm... yes it is. If it's your only vhost, it very much is.
omryjMCg, I have the default vhost that came with the debian packege
package
jMCgThen it's being logged and it shoul work.
omry: apache2ctl restart -- does it give you any errors?
omryno errors
if I access localhost I see it in the access log, if I access localhost.localdomain I get nothing in the access log. (or the error log)
jMCgAh
grep localhost.localdomain /etc/hosts
apache2 -S
fajitaapache2 -S tells you what your virtualhost configuration is.
omry127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost www.google-analytics.com1 main
jMCg, well - localhost.localdomain does appear in apache -S, and just localhost does not appear.
maybe localhost is the special case?
jMCg*yawn*
omryyeah
jMCgtired.
ppphff
I should sleep.
mirradoes anyone know what downloadiz2.com is?
how do you block someone from their location like..:
196.218.73.134 - - [24/Mar/2007:11:53:56 -0500] "GET /misc/druplicon.png HTTP/1.
1" 304 - "http://www.downloadiz2.com/forums/index.php?showforum=4" "Mozilla/4.0
i want to block all requests from downloadiz2.com
TestDrivenBugif ServerName defined as domain.com, and rewrite rule a) RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.(.*)$ , b) RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.%{SERVER_NAME}$ --> a) give correct result, b) resursive add www.
for both RewriteRule ^/?(.*)$ http://www\.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
I dont understand this behavior
Can anyone help me understand what happens here?
I am trying to do this --> if request is servername - append www. to it, if its username.servername - do not attach www to it
SeanfeldjMCg: alright finally figured out which version of apache 2.2.3
TestDrivenBugI can do this easily by escaping servername with the actual server name strings, but I am trying to do it with Server Variables - no luck though
jMCgSeanfeld: you discovered the magickal httpd -v switch?
Seanfeldthat didn't work for me which was annoying the hell out of me had to use apache2 -v
thumbsSeanfeld: welcome to non-standard distros
Halcy0nHey guys. Quick question about mod_proxy_balancer. Right now I have: ProxyPass /app1 balancer://my_cluster/, and the exact same for ProxyPassReverse. For some reason the redirects coming back are not being rewritten properly, and the client gets redirected to something only accessible on the backend server. What am I doing wrong here?
jMCgSeanfeld: Debian?
fajitaDebian is one of the worst offender see "debian config" see "distro layout" see /usr/share/doc/apache*/README.Debian*
SeanfeldjMCg: yeah
jMCgarghs.. must.. sleep ><
