|SimplySeth||well that's frustrating|
|raden_work||megaspaz, hows it going bro|
|dareth||Quick question for the channel.|
|adaptr||not that quick !|
|dareth||Is setenv <variable> <value> from the mod_env useable in httpd.conf|
I want to set some constants in my config.
Then use them later on in the config in multiple places.
|adaptr||that's not what setenv does...|
|dareth||it is for cgi, and scripting, ie PHP Python eh?|
|fajita||setenv is http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_env.html#setenv http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_env.html#setenv|
|dareth||am looking at that now... what other ways can/does one set variables or constants in the config?|
|adaptr||why would you want to ?|
|dareth||I use a set of IP addresses in many places in the config, but they change occasionally.|
Wanted to define them one place, so I can change them their.
|adaptr||for any given application, its config !!== (double IS-NOT) related to the working of the application|
then grep/sed/whatever them when they change
it's not that hard
|dareth||neither is search and replace with a gui, just trying to do it right once.|
|SimplySeth||make: *** [mod_authnz_ldap.slo] Error 1|
|adaptr||and if you're using "a set of IP addresses" in more places, I would first try to consolidate the places|
SimplySeth: thanks for that !
|SimplySeth||adaptr: I'm prolly the only person in da woild with that error :-/|
|adaptr||SimplySeth: from a make all in apache ?|
|adaptr||SimplySeth: surely there is more to the error than that ?|
|SimplySeth||adaptr: ooooooh yeah .. you betta buhlieve it|
