DrBacchusgodzirra: So probably http://www.%1.com/$1
godzirraRight.
DrBacchusdim: If you want to allow sylmlinks, then allow them in the main config.
dim: Then disallow AllowOverride Options
godzirraAwesome. Thakn you DrBacchus
dimok, in line with what i was prepared to go through, thx
godzirraThat worked fabulously.
DrBacchusGood deal.
fajitaRobert
dimmmm, sorry... what is the opposite of AllowOverride ? may I have to explicilty allow all directive types but Options ?
DrBacchusThat is preferred, however, you can also use the +/- syntax
fajita: AllowOverride
fajitaAllowOverride tells Apache what things you wish to permit in .htaccess files. See http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#allowoverride
DrBacchusSee examples there.
dimi'm stuck (for the moment) with apache1.3
and reading http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#allowoverride :)
DrBacchusdim: The syntax is unchanged.
dimok, thx
i'll do with Options +FollowSymlinks IncludesNoExec and AllowOverride AuthConfig FileInfo Indexes Limit
DrBacchusMixing +/- syntax and 'bareword' syntax seldom has the desired effect.
dimthen i'll write it Options FollowSymlinks IncludesNoExec ?
sorry for newbiness :/
actionrainerstoff is away (lost.)
rainerstoffis away (lost.)
DrBacchusdim: Yes, that's correct.
dimthx again, you're saving some precious time, as you would suppose :)
do you happen to know if apache 1.3 branch still see some dev effort (security updates, for example)?
or should I insist more & more to my customer to migrate to apache 2.x ?
DrBacchusdim: You should move to 2.2. 1.3 still gets security updates, but no new development.
dimnever test 2.2 yet, but have been using 2.0 for some time now... ok, thx for the advice, i'm considering the test/migration !
godzirraOk, I have a uri that is like so: SecureCartSubmit/5219200014?type=item;return_url=/Item/5219200014, but for smome reason when it rewrites, the ; turns into %3b
how do I stop that?
yango[NE]
fajita[NE] is $noescape (no uri escaping of output)
yangogodzirra: ^
godzirrathanks. :)
dimany online documentation for knowing when graceful is enough and when restart is needed,
s/,/?/
godzirraDoes anyone use Apache::Session?
I'm trying to figure otu how to share sessions between dimple.tuneportals.com and www.dimple.com
DrBacchusdim: restart is needed when the binary changes, or you're adding/removing modules.
